just watched some old wafl grand finals with this pelicans commentating.
I don't know wats happening with coverage but whoever gets it needs to ensure this pelican doesn't fark anymore enjoyment of replays.

seriously has to be the worst commentator ever. didn't realise how bad this guy was till I went back over time.
my old man was suicidal wen he was announced west coasts coach and stopped following w.c until he was moved on.
very lucky to play in the team he did, couldn't coach for shit, cant commentate for shit.
absolutely ruins watching a game with his lippy the lion - oh me oh my crap.

raisser ....you do know Judgey coached EF to flags in 92 - 94?..played in that ripper derby GF in 79....AND....no one was lucky to play in a Hawthorn team during the 80's......To me Judgey's commentary is as good as the comments over the years from those two ex Subi "champs" in Phil Lamb and Rod Willett..... ......

realistically Phil played in a shite Subi team for most of his 227 game career(76 - 87) bar that 86 team......

Willett's playing career appears to have more kudos to it than Lambs, tho TBH most of it was in a weakened WAFL post WCE....unlike Kenny Judge's WAFL career .....you call it luck....I call it ability....each to their own I guess....

True Judgey may not be the best commentator going around.....but to disrespect his playing/coaching career is laughable raisserr.....Judge played successfully in stronger teams than Lamb or Willett ever did......as for coaching.....well it's pretty easy to pass comment from a commentary box or as a boundary rider on what a coach should do/not do during a game.....at least Judgey has had the balls to of done both......unlike Messers Lamb or Willett......throw some stones at Lamb or Willett whilst you throwing them at Judgey mate!!

My coaching point was at afl level. didn't fire a shot.
as for willet and lamb - no argument there.
we just need commentators that actually sound like they wanna be at the game, not fishing with their mates and his permanent monotonous tone is painful.

I think judgey says what he thinks and stuff anybody elses feelings, he does not provide sanitised pre-approved comments along the lines of the majority of the rest on commercial tv, some times its good and sometimes its crap but at least we know when he is bitter or sweet

Don't think anybody would of done any bettter with West coast at that time. They were crap. Yeah the buck always stops with the senior coach, but to say anyone else could of done any better is subjective.

I love the line of "my old man was sucidal when he was appointed west coast coach:! In other words he was judged without even been given a chance. Sounds like Vitriol for no other reason than dislike. Maybe your old man might just have a hatred for Ken Judge, not his coaching ability!!!

And yeah, Your old man would of been sucidal if West Coast had had some success when Judgy was coaching Hellraiser because he wouldn't of been able to enjoy it, as he had apparrently stopped folowing them. Yeah Right!!

Spot on ruddiger worst time to be coach of WC at the time. I think you are harsh on judgy raiserrr give the bloke a break, he has been battling a serious illness the last couple of years. I love his commentary.

Love his commentary because it is insightful, at times brutally honest (no political correctness) - he says what he thinks and means it! There are times where his views are completely opposite mine but at least he still has a passion for the WAFL!!!!

Have to agree with DD the bloke would be going through hell & probably no one else wants the job anyway

yeah pretty sure WCE had a pretty ordinary squad back in 2000/01.....all the 92/94 premiership guys were either retired or well n truly at the end of their careers.....Glass won rookie of the year in Judges first year and Kerr won it in his 2nd....Judd was still at high school.....Cousins was still a teenager...Cox was probably on the rookie list!!..Judgey was on a hiding to nothing......why did you think Malthouse jumped ship?.......also that Hawthorn team he had was similar in terms of retired or aging premiership stars....shit even Crawford wasn't on their list during Judgey's Hawthorn reign....

I reckon Judge himself would be the first to say his AFL coaching win/loss ration was pretty dismal......pretty sure Buckenara's was worse though?......3/26 from memory ...Raisserr imagine what your dad would of been like if he had of been a Swans fan, especially after that epic Buckenara reign!!!

Personally didn't mind Ken Judge on the Wafl broadcasts. But I'm probably one of the few? He tells you 'how it is', without all the silly political correctness and you know what he's thinking. Too many commentators nowadays are told what to say, what not to say and too busy reading from damn queue cards! Many of them have gone down that crappy Americanised type commentating which is painful! I know the abc tv Wafl commentary team were a bit bland at times but still did a good job is what I can see. Just putting my 5 cents worth.
