Team formerly known as East Perth about to play in the foxtel cup against Norwood and not one fan has bothered to mention it in the days leading up. Probably says something about what has happened to East Perth with the alignment I would guess? I feel sorry for traditional East Perth supporters but it probably reflects where we have been lead to as a comp I'm afraid.

One of the mysteries of the SANFL, apart from red point posts and 25m penalties, is that Norwood and Sturt both have the same song (Grand old flag) but with different words.

Men vs Boys really. Pretty boring stuff apart from the brawl which extended into the players race. Young Colledge got cleaned up by Lycett's knee close to the end of the game. Hope the lad is OK

How long can Foxtel Cup last for? Originally I thought it was a fantastic idea, and after the first season I was still hoping they would make something of it.

Last night's game was totally irrelevant, and the Eagles were using EP as a scratch match rather than a competition.

The commentators showed no interest in the game, had done little research into the teams, and constantly called them East Perth Falcons, West Perth or even West Coast.

They were more interested in Cox and Glass sitting on the side line, and taking the piss out of Freddie Clutterbuck's name.

They started to dribble shit about the AFL even when Norwood looked like, and did get the goal in the 4th.

I would also think Norwood sent the side they did as they weren't overly interested in supporting the idea of a scratch match for West Coast.

I have lost interest in these meaningless scratch matches. Foxtel need to go back to the drawing board with this one.

Dont know mate.. WP V BOX HILL and Tassie v West ADELAIDE Were both crackers of games with only a couple of points in it.
As for last night - who cares I did turn 91.3 on just to get a score update and they were IN THE MIDDLE OF A ALL OUT BRAWL...Oakley Nichols got a mention as racing in to join the fray... Turned the radio off AS SOME THINGS DONT CHANGE

I will be at Pattersons when we play the next game there and a lot of WP supporters I have spoken to will be there as well.

Me no Foxtel but game can be watched on Foxtel net a few days after.

Now WP if we win etc could be Playing EP Eagles in the finals..
Would be interesting as it is for 100,000 dollars and WP could certainly do with that. EP would most probably go in with a strong eagles side so could be a Fizzog of a game..

EP will certainly be a lot stronger next Monday than we when we last met. They have got their act together now.. So that will be a good barometer of where the WAFL sides are at against this alignment..

There is a very good reason why a lot EP followers don't comment, simply, why comment when the replies even from other EP supporters are just abt the alignment and not about the football being played.

I comment abt the Colts and even then get craped on, again even by EP supporters.

Unfortunately Grump you are a victim of your Clubs Greed and Self interest rather than the WAFL competition and its traditions..

They have allowed 2 clubs to become part of the AFL rather than letting players play for their own clubs and having a couple of other allocated to let it remain as a level playing field. Enough said so lets not carry on and move on.. To what we are unsure?
