I can just imagine what the WAFL coverage will be. Blink and you'll miss it.

Will certainly make a change from those Victorian centric shows on Fox Footy

Very well said!
The tv and radio stations can't even get it right on their 'so called' sports reports and one would be justified in saying - wafl, what wafl reports!!
Apart from abc telly that do an acceptable wafl broadcast, one would hear no wafl at all!! Been that way for far t o o l o n g. Having said that, will reserve thoughts until said programme screens but lets hope a decent package is presented with predominantly Wafl content. Instead of all the childish silly rubbish currently screened to the sheep! If not, will be just another waste of space.

I like the idea of a WA footy show and will reserve my judgement until i see it first but the fact Barich is involved brings back memories of that putrid Basil's footy show from years back! :pinch:

The half an hour footy fix show is scheduled for a 2100 start time on Fridays.
TV guide describes The Footy Fix as New Local Series. Perth's only live and local footy show.

Yes we want local footy and not half the show talking about Naitanui.

It will be a fresh wind of change to have a Perth produced show giving a less than 'VFL' view of the world of footy....
Yes I too have doubts about Boofhead Barich and the previous badly structured shows leave little to crow about and more to fear of the same - but atleast big head basil is not involved this time (cant stand the dude)

- lets see how the show presents and see if indeed it has the merit we are all starved for in the west regards the Aust Game
I will be an avid couch potato on this one and hope my Milo is boiled and my tim tams are fresh....

Good call Cesspit.
Victorians still laugh at West Aussies because of the way we bailed out the vfl and then allowed it to be called it the AFL!

anchorman wrote: About time that we had a locally produced football show.Hopefully it will be a bit serious and give us some insight into the game.
The show on 7mate begins tomorrow night and will air after all Friday night AFL games.I am assuming that it will be an hour long show. The show will be hosted by hosted by former channel nine news and sports reporter Mark Readings with Adrian Barich,Ryan Daniels and Steve Butler and Mark Duffield onn the panel. They will also have Mark Lecras and Chris Mayne as guests.
The show will discuss the Friday night game and also cover the WAFL.
Hopefully the show can fill the WA void that we get from all other football panel shows from the East.

The question I have is do any of these journos attend WAFL games? One thing I can't stand is commentators/journos that try to talk about the WAFL based on what they read in the paper or read off the footy budget. Just heard Chris Mitsopulous on 91.3 talking WAFL and he clearly does attend WAFL games, love hearing Mitsy's comments. And what's happened to Spanner? Another passionate WAFL man and you could not get a more passionate supporter of the WAFL than old Percy. These blokes are WAFL royalty.
Get on your bike.
It was Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve.
