Is that a serious comment swan42. He would i think had so many mentors at the Hawks... Rioli Hill for the indigenous side, then lived with Luke Hodge. When does Gartlett take reponsibilty for his own actions. I would have assumed the Hawks tried to educate him in all facits of what is required to be an AFL footballer. Maybe he wasnt cut out for AFDL football, fair enough, though i think its a bit rich to lay the blame at the foot of the Hawks.

come on unk.....you know as well as I, that to starry eyed SDFC fans like 42, the SD players can do no wrong........always the ump, opposition players/clubs/fans are to blame when things go wrong....protected species the ole black duck from memory.....or is that the black swan I'm thinking of.....

Markie I can only be accountable if I find the whole scenario a travesty.....I don't find it a travesty........parents/caregivers etc should pay up if the fat cats won't, as it's all in the best interests of the kid, no different to a parent funding a kid to uni, TAFE etc.....

....but alternately if you care as much as you say you do, then all I have suggested is that the average fan of that particular club who DOES find it a travesty should do their bit.....I frankly don't care mate.....more so for those kids who are given an opportunity but bail out because it's all toooo hard!
