I tried retirement at about 56 yrs old, couldn't hack it so went back to work. Took a position away from the pressures and helter skelter that I was used to and am in (what I call) a semi retired position - running a store, bit of purchasing and sales.

Ive heard stories where some blokes go back to work after retirement to get away from the wife as they became busier and under more pressure in retirement than when they worked!

To expand a little..
I play drums, love rocknroll, hard rock and blues and actually had a couple of bands for a while which did quite well, with 3 or 4 other mungbean looking blokes haha, grew up in a tough Southern suburb and still reside in the same joint where i took my first steps.
I hate arrogant and rude pricks and those that look down on those less fortunate, i also believe in equality with the spread of wealth.
Love Cricket too and played for years at a club where i met most of my lifelong mates sharing some special times on and off field, had a crack at 5 different WAFL clubs as well, but obviously came up short (according to those dickhead coaches anyway!) then i popped an ACL so cricket it was from then on..for those interested - Swans, South, East Perth, Perth and Subi were the clubs
WAFL is a passion and lifestyle for me, i wouldnt go 1 day without thinking about it at some point guarenteed, i love the banter (and shit stirring) on these sites and deep down we are all pretty similar i reckon

The Perth membership is because my boys play in the district and so did I so I want to support them some how. I do a lot of coaching courses through them as we'll. A bit of give and take us in order I think.

Nah mate it was Tony Solin, he was a good bloke actually, gave a chance in a few scratchies after Mark Watson flicked me instead of Phil Matera and Peter Bell at Sth lol, at Subi i remember Ian Dargie and Macnish as 2 of the most friendly blokes at a footy club in the very short period i was there
