With Netherlands and GB drawing 2-2 Australia's potential quarterfinal opponent with one round of qualifying games to go would be Germany who are 1 point behind Netherlands and GB.

You wouldn't want to challenge those athletes to an arm wrestle; they must be so powerful.

I am generally not a huge fan of Basil Zempilas but I think he has done a good job commentating at the swimming.

To me it beggars belief that the women's 4x200m relay can be criticised.  If you break a world record and you are beaten it is because your opponents were too good on the day.

42 Basil has been great with the swimming.Also heard that Bazz,Lethal Jones and Thorpy are calling the swimming from a studio in Melbourne.

Yes that's her nickname from the 2000 Sydney Olympics.

Good to see Fox hold her nerve and win the C1 gold. Missed out on the K1 gold by 1 mm apparently, when her hair brushed the final penalty bar....in both events her times were 2-3 seconds better then the rest, which is huge in those  events.

A couple more medal chances in the swimming to come, though a lot of talk about the selection tactics for the that W 4 x 200 free relay.......Great effort none the less, though did find it strange seeing Titmus go off first, would of thought a final finish chase would of been right  up her alley confidence wise.....

Bazz has been ok, but continually refers to "Russia" when they are not officially competing, they are the ROC, Russia should not receive any credit as they have been proven to be massive drug cheats.
Thorpey has been terrific, his articulate concise reviews and analysis have been first class.
