Premier Mark McGowan has detailed the next step of the roadmap out of COVID-19 restrictions, with the state moving into phase 4 from Saturday, June 27.

Phase 4 will be in place for three weeks with phases 5 and 6 also added to the plan. Phase 5 will be introduced on Saturday, July 18, after careful monitoring of the impact of phase 4 on the community, the Premier said.

Phase 4 restrictions will mean:

All existing gathering limits, and 100/300 rule will be gone,
The 2-square-metre physical distancing rule will continue at venues that hold more than 500 people,
Seated food requirements gone,
No more patron registers at hospitality businesses,
Many more events permitted, except for large-scale music festivals,
Gyms able to operate unstaffed, but regular cleaning must be maintained,
Casino gaming floor to reopen with some operating conditions,
Major sport and entertainment venues to operate at 50 per cent capacity crowds.

But please keep that bloody gate shut on Vicco for the time being - this outbreak is a bad thing

mate I'm hoping someone is awake at the WAFC - even their doormat changer knows there's a clean chance to try some state footy with controlled crowds away from the Vicco league
damned good odds of getting healthy attendances across the board , money coming in , showcase the state's standards
you get what I mean anyway mate

At the very least the WAFC should be organising some pre- season games for this Saturday with a possibility of a ten game season commencing July 11 or at very latest 18th July. The AFL is irrelevant because their GF may now be pushed out to November if it ever happens

Fkn brilliant, lets party. But I do think Sneakers should seriously consider opening up our borders with SA and NT.
Get on your bike.

Agree DD, SA NT & Tas all have better virus free records than WA so there is no argument to be put that the borders cannot be opened.

As for WAFL, get scratchies organised for the next couple of weeks with round 1 on July 18th and a 10 round season. All grounds have capacities of min 4-5k so easily accom 2k to comply with the 50% rule, most grounds at 50% apart from maybe Lathlain, Claremont & peeltip could accom 5-8k. With just a little bit of promo from our trusted friends at WAFC towers we could get crowds in the 3-5k range and if they are smart with rnd 1 fixtures and have freo & perth derby's, SD v Pth and Su v Cl you could get 5-10k+ especially at Freo and Basso.

Hopefully they are awake. Although they might still be too busy investigating the leak. Why so worried about a "historical" document that apparently has no current relevance is unclear. Maybe hold a couple of weekends with scratch matches and why not start the Wafl on the 11th.
