Finally commonsense prevails, that's great news. Probably means those 2 games on Saturday and something like Su/Cl & SD/Pth on Sunday. Depending on the AFL broadcast schedule ..... if that comp hasn't imploded in the meantime.

July 18 start?

Why the fark are they waiting that long (another 4 weeks away) to kick the season off for?

McGowan has given the all clear for crowds up to 50% of capacity which means around 10k allowed at most WAFL venues, the 2 WA Vicco League clubs are hubbed away in QLD for another few weeks lets get the WAFL season going asap and make an impact without the Budgies & Dorks breathing down our neck FFS.

There is still a chance to get a full season in if we get it up and running asap!

I'm with you BH, if the games are allowed spectators and at max 50% ground capacity thats way more than the average crowds of recent seasons so from a money pov there shouldn't be a reason to reduce the season anymore than it has to, give it 2 weeks for a July 4th start, 16 game season with 3 weeks of finals (final 4 with double header 1st and 2nd semi) and its all done by around the end of October, so not too much impact on the 2021 pre-season.

SS it has got me stumped why they are settling for just the minimal 8 game season?
The chance to play in front of crowds here thus boosting each clubs potential revenue and all whilst that Vicco comp is in complete and utter disarray both on and off the field gives us a golden opportunity to make the most of it....but yet again the insipid WAFC show their true colours and that is they only will do whatever is in the best interests of the Vicco comp....a truly incompetent lot they are!

In the very first few words of his latest statement Taylor says he hopes everyone is enjoying AFL back on the telly - sums up where they sit perfectly

It’s only going to be a 8 games season, no-one wants to play Subiaco twice

Sorry in this one doesn’t cut it to blame wafc. There are 9 elected club presidents out there

And all were gagged long ago by the WAFC STT hence why they brought that Vicco League sycophant Gloede in to be the 'Independent' Spokesman.
