Well done to the club and all who have knuckled down and made some tough decisions. You lot have had a lean run on the field for a while so hopefully now some money can be spent in the footy department and start to rise up the ladder again.

They might need a slogan BC. "We're Coming" - Carlton circa Brett Ratten or "Whatever it Takes" - circa James Hird and The Weapon (The Frankenstein experiment).

"Its Time" channeling Gough 1972? Really it is time for some Swans success but I'm not holding my breath. It is only year 1 of a 5 year plan. At least now the finances are in order so we can start moving forward

200k is extraordinary at WAFL level only $ubi has managed those sort of profits over the years. I'm curious how you managed that, especially after a poor season finishing last?

Finally paying off their debts would have helped. Its taken a few years but hopefully from now on they wont get in that situation again and can report profits on a yearly basis.

Just a short summary on the game against West Coast last night.
West Coast 10.9 to Swans 4.7.
Competitive first half when Swans had most of their senior players on the park but still trailed 3.4 to 4.5. Over use of handball which lead to many turnovers and at this stage they still seem to be playing all the forwards up the ground leaving about 3 opposition defenders standing all alone and rebounding out of our forward line with ease. Of the new recruits I noticed, Fisher, Anderson and Bayok all played quite well and should strengthen the team. Others who played well on the night were Riggio, Erceg, Cipro, Turner. I was told they made 12 changes at half time and there were a lot of players that were new to me and they found it difficult to get into the game.
Looking forward to a better performance in a few weeks time and seeing the team become more direct and cohesive in their play.

Thanks for this, really appreciate your updates. No doubt it was a bit wet and slippery out there last night
