In mikeh's absence I thought I would start a topic about our game against South Freo to allow people to post their comments.

Like last week I am feeling confident that we will be happy around 5 pm on Sunday evening.

I will be happy if you are happy s42....south picked us apart last time in the wet. lets hope its a sunny day out and guys like Ricky Cary and Noble can become match winners up forward for us.

Weather looks okay at the moment: fine and around 20 degrees. Could be a bit nippy around the edges for the colts.

Wow where do I start.Still on such a high from yesterdays match between two great Wafl footy clubs.Massive crowd ,wonderful atmosphere . And the Ressies also put on a show.Freo Oval another classic Wafl ground in a wonderful location.
Just want the boys to play there best.Lets hope we can put on another big crowd.I believe a good atmosphere raises the playing standard.I didn't think we had a chance V WP.So let's bring it on.

GTR we have already beaten South Freo at Basso earlier in the year and not so long ago we led 8 goals to 1 not so long ago at Freo Oval. I believe we have reason to be confident.

The first qtr and a half in that last game vs SF at Freo was some of the best footy we have played this year...just need to find another 2 1/2 qtrs at that level...stiff task!

Not a good start to the day...colts being dismantled and then watching Taryce Stewart arrive at the ground in a leg brace...looks like knee issues, hope for the kid it's not too serious.

On a brighter note I did have a dream last night where I was observing Harding coaching his last game v Peel...let's hope there is something in that☺️

Obviously not a good day for SD on the scoreboard across all 3 grades....but great effort in getting all 3 grades there in the first place.....amazing to think there is such a huge gap between the top 3 ,teams snd the rest of the comp....80 pts between 3rd and 4th is a Grsnd Canyonesque like gap....sad for the comp TBH.

The last 10 minutes of the 2ndqtr .South's piled on 4 goals with slick ball movement. Then Swans where on top for the first half of the 3rd qtr but put on no scoreboard pressure.They done that by slowing the tempo of the game.Crowley gave it all in his last game of senior footy.Ellard,Ugle.Howard battled hard.Really believe Sam Taylor needs another year of Wafl before an Afl drafting.
Just hope Souths take on Subi and maby Peel with attacking slick ball movement. I like there chance in a shootout match.

Almost a carbon copy of the last time we played SF at Fremantle Oval...a good start for the first qtr and a half and then we just cant sustain their runners and the flood gates opened.
All over now for 2017 some improvement made on last year quite obviously hopefully something to build on for the incoming coach lets hope we can retain the majority of the list and pick up some recruits for a couple of positions that need bolstering and an emphasis on improving our foot skills in the off season.
Well done to Tallan & Ryan on their great footy careers all the best in retirement.
