MO how can you say Houghton cost you nothing because he was a straight swap for Latch? Latchy was in very good form this season before he got injured, would have been in the frame for a state guernsey if he didn't get injured and now Simpson has hung up the boots he would have been his natural replacement. We are very happy with Latchy and I like David Johnston too unfortunately he sustained a bad injury early this season, an ankle I think. Hope he stays on.

Swans needed forwards not backs so we swapped Latch for Houghton.
We have enough defenders, we have no forwards or rucks
Latch wouldn't have played every week last year as we had to get games into Logue and Watson and this year have more key backs coming thru from the colts.
Just my opinion.

Latch is a very good player IMHO.
Now played nearly 60 league games 34 with us I think.
Will do a good job for us going forward.

Great news about Crowley. Another experienced body in the midfield. Can we challenge for finals next year with the group Harding is putting together? I am still concerned about our ability to score enough goals to win games, particularly if Cary has gone.

Bad luck you missed out on Tendai. That's two former Perth AFL players who had significant AFL careers you've gone hard after and come up with zip. Maybe if you concentrate your recruiting efforts in other areas in the future you might be more successful instead of trying to steal from your eastern suburbs brothers all the time it seems.
