But the view of a lot of outsiders not knowing the daily workings of the club is just stick with the young players. (Really no choice in that anyway) and keep in contact with the bus load of ex Swans players in the Afl.I have no doubt that Nick Natanui will finish his footy career at Swans where he started his career. As just 1 example of a player that will end up back at Swans in the future.
Also the question has to be asked can Swans get Swoop back from Melbourne where he now lives. To join the Harding+Malaxos coaching team. That 1/4 time spray on Monday would be right up his alley.

Swoop will be back at Basso on Saturday mate albeit as the runner for Tassie.
Might be an opportune time for him to deliver one of his well renowned bakes to some of our blokes for their insipid output so far in season 2016!

Maybe try and talk him into standing at full forward for the rest of the season. Even if he is only half fit we may kick a few more goals with him there :silly:

Hes a dead eye dick when he kicks for goal Mike. That game last year when we beat Subi by 1 point. That last quater he wrestled 2 Subi defenders in the square the whole last qtr.Sometimes stats dont indicate a players importance to a side..
Hope somebody from Swans talks to Swoop about some role at the club in 2017.You can only ask the question???

Would love to have Swoop back at the club, but he seems to have settled back in Melbourne according to BH so he may not want to uproot and come back to WA. I agree it would certainly be worth asking the question of him while he is here.

Hopefully both the Swans' players and supporters return from our mid-season break in a better frame of mind and body. I am sure BH will enjoy the two weeks off from his torment.

Will the football club keep a close eye on the long list of ex-Swans men playing fantastic football at other WAFL clubs or kicking packets of goals in the hills, amateur and country competitions (Robinson, Twomey, Daniels, Pickett, Potente Houghton, Woofenden, Latch, Casserley, Ridley, etc)? Are they keeping in contact with a former coach who took the team to a premiership in 2010?

Of those guys you mentioned SH, I thought Casserley had retired due to injury problems, Wolfenden was told by the current coach in 2011 that he was no longer in the best 22 at that stage, Potente seems quite settled at West Perth, ditto Robinson and Twomey at Subiaco, Houghton seems to want to play country footy but I suppose he could potentially be talked into coming back. Not sure how Latch is going at Perth, wasn't in their team last Monday. Would love to see the club try and lure back Ridley and Daniels because their talents are wasted in amateurs. Depends on if they want to do the hard work that is required though. Pickett? Cant recall him? I'm sure you or someone else will fill me in on him.

As for Dawson, he is a very highly regarded academic and my feeling is that he may not want to coach any further given the time demands of his career. He even seemed to be a little reluctant in his last year at East Perth. I remember reading that he was considering a part time role at that club as well don't know if that materialised.

When does Dayle get out of jail? Might be the motivation to keep his head down.

Surely Gault will get delisted from Collingwood? Bennell from WCE? Crowley from Ess?

How far into his medical studies is Blakely? Surely his weekends will be few and far between soon through work.
