It would have been hard to watch for the few 100 odd Swans supporters that went along. 91 point loss to a side that only had 3 wins from 7 games is a hard pill to swallow. It's not like they were playing against a top 2 side.

It's disappointing that their fans have dropped off so quickly.

Attendance records show that Swans have had an average crowd of 1415 per game at Steel Blue this season.

East Perth crowds have average well above swans despite the alignment. Average attendance to EP games at Medibank prior to this game is 2262 for the season.

When a club is down it needs it's supporters to rally not desert. Hopefully the remaining faithful will stick by the club. I'm sure they will improve as the season goes on. Colts and ressies are going ok.

Plenty of time to go yet for some serious bad luck to hit South and see them fold like a deck of cards like is so familiar with them

Farken hell swannie mate  go hard champion

Southerner there are some reasonable South's supporters, including your good self. However, the same alas can't be said of those of the ilk of Bazza. If I recall Souths have had some down times as well.

What was on display yesterday was an indictment of the WAFC: no more and no less. Anyone who thinks that there is any degree of equality in the WAFL competition after what the supposed East Perth club fielded as a team yesterday is certifiable.

Unless the WAFC show for perhaps the first time in living memory a desire to remove the jaundiced nature of the WAFL competition at the end of this season the WAFL competition will be defunct by 2020. Supporters of most WAFL clubs are not going to continue to support a competition where there IS NO CHANCE OF BEING COMPETITIVE season in season out. What the two devils incarnate, Eagles and Dockers, have done to the WAFL competition is reprehensible in the extreme and their partner in this crime, the WAFC, should hang their collective heads in shame.

What was on display yesterday was a pathetic performance by Swans, what was the excuse v us at Basson Swan42? We are not an aligned club...and flr the record re tough times , we have not won a spoon since 87 ! So dont give me that tripe.

Yes 1987, the 210 point shellacking @ Leeederville, I remember it well. You Swans boys should not pick on Souths supporters, we at WP are very thankful to SF as we have inflicted the above mentioned record for the heaviest defeat in H&A games and also the 104 point GF record :P ;)

Yep DW idea of banter seems to be quite different to a lot of Swans posters.

Would have been a long day at the office for Swans yesterday. Having no scoring shots in the first quarter and only 3 up to half time. And finishing the game with only 8 scoring shots. Whilst watching the opposition run away with the match.
To be performing 115.6 Ball Disposals per Goal is unbelievable. 8.3 Disposals Ins50M per Goal shows the forward line in disarray with no focal point or purpose. And the attack rate of just 6.6% which is very low. So far this season Swans are averaging 10% of Ball Disposals Ins50, from 57 scoring shots for their Away Games. which is the lowest in the league.

I believe the Swans Colts and Reserves matches were good wins for the Black and Whites. Pity the league team fell over.

colts were just very good and their speed was a decisive factor. The ressies were behind by abt 6 or 7 goals and ran over the top of EP, sad for me but great for you.

Grump we certainly looked the better team in the first half of the colts. Unfortunately, the fact that it was extremely difficult to see the players under the lights that I didn't stay to watch the second half. Why the match was played at 5 pm is beyond me.

The reserves' second half was exceptional under the circumstances and it will be with much anticipation the league selection for next week's game.

I think the alignment is only one of the problems we have in the WAFL in my opinion. It's all about $$$$ only Subi and EP have any.

Great to see you back on this site Larry. The curly headed defender you were referring to is Griffin Logue and he is a ripper, whole hearted and takes the game on.

Interestingly our State 18s rep boys didn't and or weren't allowed to play in the Colts tonight but both Logue & Clarke also in the WA 18s were allowed to play in our League side?

Logue, Clarke, Fisher (Perth), Thorne (Peel), all played league today, didnt play in the 18's intra club this morning. No players who played this morning played colts later in the day.

Cheers GC I was wondering why ...are they unavailable from now until the 18s finish up?

I have no idea how it all works re availability. However, if they do miss a few games it's not all a bad thing as it gives other young blokes a chance to have a crack.

Was impressed with a few of our boys who have got a crack of late with boys like Logue, Clarke, Cipro, Fullgrabbe, Taylor, Yorkshire, O'Kane moving up or with the WA 18s. Big test will be when we play the likes of C, SF, P without them all.
