I know that they have had a horrible run with injuries but the strength of this Swans team over the past 2 - 3 years has been their team spirit and "one for all" approach which has got them over the line many times against teams with far more talent. That team spirit was not in evidence yesterday as far as I could see. Many of the players appeared to be going through the motions and were chatting away at the breaks as if the fact that they were being humiliated in front of their supporters didn't really matter. I was also surprised that Harding appeared pretty laid back about it all as well given that last year he was often very animated at the huddles. Its still only round 2 though and lets see if they can improve their effort against Peel next week on what will hopefully be a fine day.

Fair call MD...frustrating for all when playing and then to see leave because as we both know this kid has something about him on the footy field....that uncanny knack of being in the right place to find a goal. Another season he may just have found out how good he can be but who am I to jump down his throat, we all have a right to decide for ourselves.

Maybe the boys are tired of that style? Sure it works for a while and it helped when we had genuine class in Davis and Broad but what we have this year is just battlers. There isn't any live wires around.
