Just realised that there was only 1 goal 7 behinds kicked by both teams to the Bassendean end today. Swans only scored 1 point in 2 quarters to that end!!! You would think there was a howling gale blowing to the Perth end but that wasn't the case.
I agree with the comments about Yukich. He was one of the few bright spots on a dark day.

I would mark Newman's card never to play for the SDFC again if he hasn't got a plausible excuse - like a death, inexcusable otherwise!

If we think Newman is gonna solve our problems we are totally fkud. A front running outside player at best. Have always thought over the past few seasons that we are a shite wet weather side but there are no excuses for losing in this manner. Our best mudlark is Burnham and on a day like today he should have been selected on previous wet day form alone. I'm with Mad Dog....there is a suspicious odour eminating from a lacklustre start to 2016.

That may sound harsh to some but I pay my $200 a year and expect better than that from one of the comps so called best players! Which is stretching it really, as much as I like Harding he is off the mark on this one! Because to be honest from what I can think back to all he has shown so far in his career is the potential to be a good player but hasn't actually done anything

I don't like to see SD be beaton like this. hate loosing to you but gotta say you guys have the best atmosphere for a game I have seen. People talk about WP being well supported but - not many there today. I reckon Harding is good for you guys and you may well beat Perth in a few weeks - gotta hang tough. the last 10 years would have seen you guys win 55% of your games plus a premiership. Perth 35% of games and no premiership.

As a side I always liked Houghton at Perth - note he didnt' play Ressies or League today - whats the go?

He is another who took the easy option for coin in the country 2 weeks before the start of the season! , big fish in small pond syndrome, wasn't much chop anyway TBH

I also hate it how a WAFL player can't get $500 a game with a ressie player getting minimum $250.

The jump between an AFL player and a State player is far toooooo big.

I reckon the pressure of being a 5 point player for you guys would have annoyed Houghts. He got some bad advise and should have stayed with us
