We won by about 6 goals DG but we didn't have the kicking boots on as we had about 26 scoring shots to FARTs 8.

One veteran player text me tonite mate telling me how happy the group is in how they executed what they have been planning all summer and the game plan changes coming off, albeit a Feb scratchie of course, a nice mix of youth and experience, injuries as per normal will be a factor for most sides this year, so hopefully our core stay healthy and it looks we will be very competitive once again

Did they have many freo blokes?

I didn't have team lists on me mate, obviously they had their young guys in but TBH I was only focussing on our players not having seen them in 6mths. I was just very happy with our competitiveness early doors

I didnt see the team sheet DG but recognised DeBoer, Smith, DeLuca and looked like a few of Freo's draftees plus FART locals ROB, Ugle, Walsh et al but like Swandog I was more interested in our kids. I did notice a cast of Fremantle thousands in the coaches box like Sumich, Rock, Bond, Webb et al

Have a long history with Terry since i was a kid Grassy as he used to do a bit of part time work for my parents in the late 80's/early 90's. He was actually the bloke who showed me as a young kid around the club back in 1985 after returning to Perth from spending my early childhood in Lancelin, introduced me to many a player who were my heroes at the time and even had me running the odd errand for Toddy back in the day which usually involved me running up to the family owned TAB on his behalf. Blokes like him deserve the odd applause with the amount of time and energy they have given and continue to give to the club. Great of you to recognise him.

Young Logue & Clarke who im pretty sure both are still of Colts age played League today mate and both played pretty well too.

Swan Districts colts beat Subi by about 2 goals yesterday. Near level at 3qt but Swans pulled away in the last.
