With Boland heading back east and Menagola a near certainty to be drafted, that's a heap of points and dollars freed up should Subi chase Crowley.

Interesting Seagull.Dont get me wrong IMO its great to see a WAFL club successfull both on and off the field like Subi.To add to that the coach is staying on for a 3 in a row attempt.I was just bowled over by there performance in the GF,especially there endurance running on that hot GF day.I just assued there would be no room for Crowley at Subi.

I'd be keen to get Crowley on board. It's clear our midfield lacked depth and size last season. We basically just had Riggio, Elari, Faulkner and Davis as main midfielders supported by a bunch of fringe players. He'd ease the burden on these guys by providing big-bodied, inside grunt. We were cooked in the back half of the season.

Fair comment GTR, as far as the endurance goes, yes we were one of the fitter sides but you have to remember we were very fresh with the GF being the 2nd game in 4 weeks while WP had something like 11 games straight leading up to the GF, their petrol tickets were spent by halftime so that made us look super fit.

Ryan would be good for any young side developing..He only gives 100% when he plays and will bring his AFL exprience with him.

I saw something quickly on 7 news tonight and I think it was regarding Ryan Crowley. Did anyone else catch it, what was it about?

Whilst delighted that Ryan has signed up with Swans, I must confess that I am a bit confused as to the timing given that he has expressed an interest in continuing his AFL career and I would find it hard to believe that he has not attracted some interest from clubs who may want to give him a go at the mature age draft. Maybe he has a get out clause in his Swans contact just in case he is picked up by an AFL club?
