After a shocking oversight in not having the best supported team in the comp not playing over the Easter Break we find ourselves back at Bazzo to take on a red hot Souths outfit. This game will tell us a lot about where we are at early on in the season. Are we middle of the road or are we a contender? One thing is for certain is that we cant afford to be as ill disciplined as we were in our last outing and our energy levels need to be high from the get go. We've had 2 weeks to get the bodies right and mull over the ifs buts and maybes and I'm expecting a fierce attack on ball and player! I'm also expecting at least 2-3 changes. Ugle will be a certain in and possibly Ridley or Wilson. There will be a couple needing to perform to keep their spots.

Yeah looking forward to it Madman - you Black & White Brethren will make us bleed for every single point up for grabs & I love that sort of shit

Got a feeling this one will be won in the guts by the middies and come down to sheer will in the end

Swans have quite a bar on the hill these days. They get a great mob up there. It would be great to see them call it "The Ron Boucher Bar". I think seeing his name up there would be fitting. Clubs should utilise these icons who played in the best era we will ever see. We all know how huge Boucher was for the fans down there. And he is still remembered all these years later.

Mad Dog - I too struggle to fathom how the WAFL cant schedule a Easter game at Basso. They are always the best attended games other than the traditional derbies regardless of the opposition.
They must have pencilled in an ANZAC game there surely..........No its at Joondalup

We now alternate Anzac Day fixtures with West Perth which is fine but even more reason why we should have been playing last weekend. Also,we don't play in the Naidoc round which is not a big issue to me but you'd think us having zones up north and a large contingent of indigenous players in all grades,it would make sense to have us playing although obviously each team has indigenous players so it's only fair everyone gets a chance to represent their culture.

Looks a decent team named tonight, with Rogers back in the mix, only Burnham and Smirk are out of the side that played East Perth. Good to see Ridley, Ansey and Wilson named on the extended bench. Even if they are cut this week these 2014 colts are not too far off. It will be a real test against an unbeaten team with lots of confidence and experience.

Didnt realise that it was that lop sided. Every game against South seems like a battle. The Doggies won the last game in 2014 at Basso and really we stole the game at Fremantle on that rainy day where Souths dominated for three quarters but couldnt kick straight, then Swannies came home with 6 goals straight in the last. Probably one you have wiped from the memory banks. I get the feeling your guys have a new lease of life with Curley as coach as well.
