The loss of Swoop and Tallen makes this game real tough for Swans. Depending on who the Eagles pick, East Perth have a massive big man advantage over Swans and if they get the game on their terms they will just push our guys aside. Nathan Blakely has been looking tired the last few weeks and now he faces the prospect of possibly squaring up to all of Johnson, Sinclair and Lycett. Maybe it's time to give Dylan Harvey a go in order to give Nathan some back up and support. Hopefully Simmo will be fit and he can slot into the defence to make up somewhat for the loss of Ames.

We may need Notte to play back or forward depending on match ups. Josh Smith is also a player who will be very dangerous and is often forgotten about when looking at potential match winners.

Win lose or draw, I am pretty confident that the attitude and commitment of the Swans players will be a lot better than last week.

Lycett plays for WCE not East Perth.

That is until week one of the finals ;)

In N Broad, J Burnham, J Daniels, J Manton, J Simpson,T Smirk,B Jetta, D Harvey
Out B Boekhorst, A Faulkner,M Jukes, T Ames, T Geappen, M Riggio,

Big turnover from last week. Losing Ames and Geappen was bad enough but now Boekhurst and Riggio out as well, Jukes and Faulkner have been named in reserves, can understand Jukes but why would you drop Faulkner when 2 of our other top mids are out?

On the positive side good to see Simmo back and Nathan Blakely will appreciate the help from Dylan Harvey.

This is without doubt Swans weakest team of the year and on paper they look to be totally outgunned by the Eagles reserves on every line. The only positive is that the new players may return the team to something like the level of desperation and intensity that they had early in the season but has been missing in the last month.

Just reflecting on the team further, I wonder if Harding has taken a pragmatic approach to this game given that Swans have already qualified for the finals and that they are now unlikely to nab 2nd spot. Perhaps the loss of Ames and Geappean has convinced him that winning the last two games of the season and therefore securing a home first semi would be more of a priority than going all out to win this game in Bunbury, so maybe he has taken the opportunity to give Riggers and Boekhurst, who have both played in all 17 games this season a bit of a break to freshen them up for a run in to the finals. Both of them looked fatigued at Joondalup last week. So maybe it will be a bit of short term pain this week for long term gain. Just a theory may be wrong.....

Great day for footy. Nice to see a good number of supporters here.... and the west coast eagle mascot found the WC-jr team too. Here is hoping the boys are ready to play this week.

Haha yeah I took a photo of the "Royals Mascot" at the game yesterday SH, Eddie Eagle or Rick the Rock Eagle or whatever his name is these days!
And yet you will still get people on here telling all and sundry that EP are still alive!

I seem to recall bailing out Swans one of the times they went broke. Money from my own pocket and I know of many other Royals supporters that did the same. Don't see too many supporters from other clubs particularly Swans being supportive of EP's situation. That's the way of the world I guess givers and takers.

Talk shit Larry! It really pisses me off how people like yourself try to justify EP,s "situation".

You have lost me Fat Tony, can you explain where I justified the situation. I pointed out how we helped save Swans and would appreciate Swans help to save EP. I'm judging from your comprehension skills your not a CSI.
