This is a joke of a team, Justin Simpson gets cut tonite and Rodda from West Perth added!! I am flabbergasted, Rodda in no way deserves a spot ahead of Simmo and imo doesn't deserve a spot period! Monaghan and co are on drugs if they think Simmo isn't in the best 22 on form and the decision on captain is another F##kin disgrace, it just had to be the best full back in the comp = Ames, head and shoulders! I will spew up as well if Dodd and Howlet get a game, The coaches obviously playing favourites in this team Monaghan=WP and Gavin Brown =EF

The whole thing is a joke Simpson been a wall nothing gets through him all season but he gets cut allwell its there lose because they have lost a great player who plays with his heart just like Ames does. And the captaincy what the F lee just got back playing he shouldnt have been in the squad any way be that the way it is better for us that one less player the coach needs to worry about, rest up Simmo and keep destroying ever attack made by the other sides.

Given the number of games played by a few of the players in both sides, the experience, it may actually be a better game than the GWS vs Richmond match after.

22 possies and 5 marks
31 possies and 7 marks
27 possies and 14 marks..

if that doesnt indicate he is in form and deserves a game then they shouldnt have put him in the squad in the 1st place as they were never going to pick him, if Monaghan and the East Freo asst want their own blokes in there just be honest about it from the start.

I can only think that Justin Simpson missed out because he didn't attend training. That being said, disappointing that they have included a youngster in the squad in Nick Rodda, but wouldn't play Ricky Cary who is older, because he didn't have enough experience.

Thats what I'm thinking as well. Last week they didn't want inexperienced players but no problem this week. The squad is looking more like an advert for West Perth players AFL draft prospects instead of a squad of the WAFL best.

Absolute JOKE!!! State footy is all about rewarding form surely. Rewarding those who have stepped up and had influenced the competition THIS year. I know I am Swans biased but you would have to ask the question firstly why Justin Simpson has been deemed not worthy. Add to this Ugles form has been sensational, Rogers is a very strong body and playing out of his skin and Cary continues to hit the scoreboard.
Just goes to show a complete lack of understanding what State football is all about. Good on you Simmo and all the others who deserve their chance, rest up for a week as you probably need it.

This is not right! Rodda has played one maybe two good games all year! You have to earn the WA jumper not be given one!
