Unfortunately Tim Geappen announced his retirement tonite to the players. What a fantastic servant and matchwinner he has been for the mighty black and whites it is a very sad day indeed. He will continue to coach though. He has wrestled with this decision so I suppose it is better knowing now than going through the motions. He will be a Swans champion for ever!! Best of luck in retirement

And a horde of half-backs too mate .... just because of the opportunities that were created from his contests

Think you may have said this before but he terrorised Old Easts in particular

yeah true Swandog.....8 fullbacks may sleep easier at night, but I reckon a few 1000 SD fans will have sleepless nights on hearing this news.....not too sure who is gonna kick SD goals this year......

Not sure who is going to kick your either mate from what I saw at EF training last Monday night!!

1 of very few genuine full forwards/match winners going around in the modern game. Forget the full backs, I reckon ill sleep easier now haha

6th on Swans all-time goal kicking list
129 games and 309 goals is a top effort..
great mark and kicked a lot of clutch goals..
also loved giving it to the opposition and the crowd, will be well remembered by the Swans supporters..
