BH you make a very good point. SFC dont have the gumption to stick with a youth plan. No balls but plenty of dosh courtesy of WAFC and the ticket farce they enjoy. Let it be noted SDFC also played finals footy so you guys did better than 5 other clubs in 2013

Only thing I will say is that one would hope that the Lions have a futures plan sorted .... that luxury will end eventually given the new stadium and the very real prospect of Subi Oval being redeveloped

I see WAFL finals being played at the local graounds based on Ladder position or similar in the future

Where do you think the WAFL grand finals will be played in the next ten years?

I doubt that WAFL Grand Finals will be held at Burswood .... to me it seems inevitable it will either be at the highest ranked side's home turf or a suitable neutral venue

I say this because Subi will be knocked over for sure once Burswood is commissioned and the costs to the WAFC to hire Burswood for a smaller crowd take

I should reword my original post as , of course , currently minor finals are already being played at top four side's venues

Southerner if they are going to play games at the traditional WAFL grounds, you are limiting the attendance to under 20,000. IS that how we want to go for the biggest game of the WAFL season?

southerner...the seating arrangement at AFL games which Subi took advantage of and was open to all other WAFL clubs I might add, ended in 2011 from memory.

Don't think so, but I may wrong.
What about the main money spinner.
Your bar at Subi that is chokkers every week.
Is that the reason you turnover is $2m more than most other clubs?
Wonder where the money goes - only $174k profit?
It's not the size of the dog in the fight. It's the size of the fight in the dog.

Can think of 7 off hand - Twomes, Hilda and Kohlman from swans, stockley and Latham from west Perth and the 2 vic lads

Hilda a returning player, twomey a good pick up, the others you mention are probably
more second string players I think, one of the victorians was battling to get a game
in the VFL seconds from what I hear, so no outstanding players like Krakouer/Kerr
Johnston or the like, my opinion we are weaker than 2013, no sinclair or the two 18
year olds that that the eagles listed, but still a final four chance mainly because
all of the other wafl clubs have big loses, possibly with the exception of west perth
