The Sharks potentially have one more roll of the dice if they fall short, but I'm sure their supporters won't want to be in a position of relying on other results in round 24. The Sharks are the form team of the competition at the moment and they come into the game with far more momentum than their opponents. Mcgough, Tropiano, Peake, Henson, O'Brien and Stephen all had 25+ possessions last week and they have multiple goal scoring options in Dick, Young and Howson with others chipping in as well.

By contrast Swans midfield has been a bit down in the last few games but I would find it difficult to believe that they couldn't crank it up for this finals type game, a lot will come down to how Robbo, Roachie,Riggio, Hilders and Elari go against the above mentioned East Freo players.

Swans have actually played better this year when their backs have been against the wall. Examples include round 1 against East Freo when they were down 2 guys on the bench in the heat, the Anzac day game V West Perth when they were backing up 4 days after being beaten by Peel. There was also a game in mid season at Lathlain where Perth had control all day, but Swans hung in there and snatched the game in the last moments when a defeat would have meant them slipping to 3-6. So I think the boys can come out and perform a lot better on Saturday, whether its good enough to get the chocolates is another matter.

We have got a few trump cards though. Geappan always seems to play well against the Sharks and he will be hoping that to continue. Garlett could be very dangerous especially if the midfield deliver the ball well to him.
Simpson may well be back too which will help a lot with the balance of the team. The Eagles have already indicated that they will delay Embley's 250th till their last home game, so he may also be available for Swans this week.

This will be a very nervous afternoon for both sets of supporters, great for a neutral though! Lets hope it lives up to the billing

I wouldn't be at all surprised if Embley didn't play this week end. I suspect he may be put in cotton wool until the Eagles' last game to ensure he is available for his 250th match.

BH... I have an apology to make to u as I didn't get down to Claremont on Sunday so unfortunately didn't bring the joy and it appears our boys played accordingly. I am coming on Saturday 100% so promise to bring the joy along with Dad and watch the boys play for their lives this weekend. I'm counting down the days :silly:

A rare day out with my old man at the footy and at a game we can't afford to lose as this is our whole season on the line. Doesn't get much better than that so let's hope the beers are cold, the chips are crunchy and the black & white brigade are out in force. It's time to go to war!!!!

I have a good feeling now about this Sat for some reason, good sides bounce back and we have so before this year, EF are coming off a big win v a terribly undermanned WP so cant go on that much. Simple thing is if we play our best or near it, East Freo wont get close
Beneath the Southern cross i stand, on Bassendean Oval, can in hand, Swan Districts, you Farkin Beauty!

Hope you are right SD. Its been really hard to know what to expect from Swans this year and a 4 quarter performance would be good. Hard to predict a form line against the Sharks because we haven't played them since round 1!

It goes without saying that tomorrow is our biggest game for the season thus far. Win and we have a very good chance of playing in the finals. Lose and well there is always 2014 to look forward to.

I have a fair degree of confidence going into the game on Saturday. It looks like it is going to be a relatively fast track and fine day. Good home crowd support should see us prevail in a tough encounter.

mmmm interesting analogy that SwanDog..well thought out!! :silly: ........ yeah totally agree mate, EF got lucky last week, very very lucky.....so lucky in fact that I couldn't believe my luck....nor could Stavros too!!..... from the sound of things CL got lucky too last week.....interesting to see Cl play their not so 'A' team last week......did well from all reports......

should be a cracking day out, hopefully EF can quell that switch hitter SD have up in their forward line......though from memory he had a day out last year in the prelim and it didn't affect the result too much that day!........
