If any young players do come into the side it is an absolute must that they play in positions of familiarity and strength! There is no point bringing in a young mid and playing him as a high half fwd or a fwd pocket! If these kids are performing through the midfield at reserves level then that’s where they play in the Seniors. 

The other problem is that because we’re aren’t trying to play a modern and sustainable brand is that these kids are even more likely to struggle.

I can not fathom that this current system is what we’ve trained for all summer and if so then it’s unacceptable! Regardless of talent, experience availability we should be training and playing a system that will develop both the team and the players. This current style is crap and the players are clearly frustrated by it.
