Congrats to EP. I agree with most said on this thread, but as someone said, EP appeared going at half-rat power in the second half and still outplayed us that does not abode well. And the Erceg and Chipper selections beggar belief, but no-one - not even Cartwright that I thought would have been the logical replacement for men with pace and possessions - was going to replace Clarke and Turner. However, I understand that Glass was dropped for Erceg and not injured - did anyone see him at the match yesterday? If so, someone has not identified that Glass - though not a high possession getter - straightens the team up.

Swans must be very disciplined next week. Turner's off-field role for the week must be to enforce on the players individually and as a group that they must make the ball the primary focus.

well the good thing is Swan Districts should know and will have seen again today what mandurah's tactics are now
and that will be to niggle the hell out of and goad the oppo into retaliating
and then put up a Larry Emdur inspired sideshow for the gold logie
and squeal like the bastard feral pig bitches they are
sorry but that's it the nutshell is over there on top of the stolen fridge and under the machete that was in the pram

I saw JGM jogging 30-40m across the ground to the outer side after one of the breaks and he did not look impeded, which if carrying any kind of injury I thought was odd.

Surely he wasn’t left out in favor of Erceg, surely!!!

On the Peel Football Club and the way they conduct themselves, I noted today after the Tabener free kick in the goal square for holding that the ball that Voss proceeded to rub the head of the Claremont player for an extended period of time. It’s always flog like to do so but this wasn’t just a standard tap on the head, this was a persistent effort to try and draw another kick and someone from Freo needs to have a chat to the young bloke.

Make no mistake, Peel is coming with a far greater intensity and desire that they did in our last encounter. Swans will need to be at their very, very best.

Tigers might have done you blokes a few favours. Taberner injured his thumb and Brodie (leg) and Taberner on report along with Wilson and Hancock.  Might even things up a bit if those 3 are rubbed out or through injury. Hope it goes your way, an East Perth versus Swan Districts GF is a promoters dream. I go to that one, I don't bother if Peelmantle are in it.

As we learnt with Clarke it’ll depend upon the approach Claremont take and what evidence the players on the receiving end provide

Nathan Wilson is out, offered two weeks down to one with an early plea. The others were cleared. Now down to whether Taberner and Will Brodie are fit to play. Scott Jones cleared by the tribunal also.

From what Pruen was saying in the paper, it looks like JGM had an abductor injury and is also touch and go for this week. He seems to have not given up on Jesse Turner being available for selection but obviously touch and go. He also aired the possibility of Germs coming into the team this week which may be an indication that Doc will get a rest  in the hope we can get through to the GF as Danger has been suggesting.

I really do hope that the players are not distracted by thoughts of revenge against Brady Grey for throwing Clarke under the bus at the tribunal. Any over physical stuff will play into Peels hands. Hopefully Aiden will address them  before the game and tell them to direct their aggression towards the football and be in front at 5pm. That will be revenge enough.
At this stage the weather is looking pretty hot for Sunday so hopefully more suited to Swans run and stun game
