Yep, cracked record. One hundred and forty years of Australian Rules football in this state in which truisms such as 'play in front' and 'spoil if you're behind' meant nothing to some SD players on the weekend. BH stated it already, but the chance of success of a forward getting the ball in the first place and then kicking a goal are extremely low from the forward pocket.

Not sure who taught young Ehlers about playing defence but he is always behind and then tries to mark everything, no idea how to spoil. Ireland no idea down there either.
Noble is one bloke who always gets in front and leads hard.
Memo to coach - not sure a game plan that has Doc at full forward at any stage will work against top teams

So despite getting what they wanted our results on field from a win-loss perspective have gone backwards...again! Go figure!
I have nothing against Pruyn as he is a good clubman and would love to see him have some success with our League team but whether there were more credentialled candidates out there we will never know as I dont believe we ever searched for them!

SH you could have been forgiven for thinking Jupp was a Swans player the amount of times we kicked it straight to him uncontested when he was standing 5m in front of his opponent!

Oh for a Tony Lockett, Garry Sidebottom or Troy Ugle type forward who would jump into the backman first time and let them know if you continue to stand there you will cop that all day, but our side are far too nice and dont have anywhere near enough mongrel in them to win big important games of football!

I cant help but think we desperately need a Gerard Neesham type, on field general, organiser, Captain/Coach at the moment!
