There cannot be too many times when one leaves Bassendean disappointed after an 81-point win, for the problems with Swans' game style were clear yesterday. A sub-standard team managed for a half to put pressure on the ball carrier meaning that handballs went astray and - again - we turned it over too many times. By the last quarter with the opposition tiring it looked spectacular, but it does not work against teams that maintain pressure for 100 minutes. 

I understand that the presence at the club of a former coach is not appreciated. 

Another game on Sunday next week. Ridiculous! Too many Sunday games in a semi professional league. I can understand that the teams playing today would need an extra days break but not Perth or Swans FFS

Afl buy rounds Mike.It only clashes with one AFL match.North v GWS,not a lot of interest in Wa.
But as you say Saturday the traditional Wafl day.I can't make most Sunday games
Pity because you know this game will be close.Neither side win close matches. Will be an entertaining match.Swans ,just maby,LOL.

Most of the players have jobs and would have to front up somewhere on Monday so WAFL footy should always be Saturday. They did a marketing promotion some years back about Saturday being WAFL day and most supporters like that day rather than Sunday which is often for family gatherings. Even with the teams from today playing each other (EP v EF and WP v SF) noone would be disadvantaged by moving all games back to Saturday. You could even be creative and play the Subiaco and East Perth games as a double header.

Which former coach ?

I actually dont mind the odd Sunday games, they seem to get a decent crowd too than a lot of the Saturday arvo games in which we are competing against the Amateurs etc.
It does give those football loving guys an opportunity to attend the WAFL.
We have got to try the odd different timeslot here and there be it Sunday arvo, Monday public holidays, Friday nights early in the season when the weather is a bit warmer etc as it gives some who might work or play sport on Saturdays a chance to see the odd game, no harm in trying occasionally......or we will continue to be bumped into oblivion unfortunately!

Absolutely that former coach needs to be shown the door and should have never been brought back into the fold. I don't care who he is related too.

I have no idea JTT, but as an educated guess maybe Pickering is still hanging around as he was obviously close to the current coach who was his assistant?
Harding has left the club and I can't imagine they would be annoyed if Brian Dawson was helping as a mentor type figure.
