Hopefully the club has already contacted Conor Blakely to discuss the prospect of him coming back to the club should another AFL club not pick him. The last few years have been such a waste for Conor as the Dockers kept him on their list but no matter how well he played for Peel, his card had been marked and was rarely selected. At 26 he still has a lot to offer.

It would be nice to hear from our newly appointed coach too Mike.
So far other than the actual announcement of his appointment there has been no interviews at all with Pruyn that I have seen or heard unlike the new coaches at both Perth & EP!

Yes BH, I share your discomfort. Given that the coach was a big part of the old regime, it seems like a "business as usual" approach is being taken and we know if you just do the same things, you will probably get the same results which this year was mid table mediocrity
Having said that I think we should give Pruyn a go and see what impact he has next year.

mikeh, if Conor Blakely doesn't get picked up by an AFL side he stated his next preference was to play in the VFL. Maybe he just wants to get away from Perth for a while.

I think he has mentioned moving to the Gold Coast to reunite with his old Dockers team mate Lachie Weller and perhaps playing for their VFL side.
