West Coast AFL are losing players left right and centre atm.  Swans certainly should win this one and hopefully get themselves a real % boost.  Anything to keep the mud crabs out of it.

Apparently more rain forecast to fall on Saturday. More likely have a game of wet weather footy. Currently Swans percentage of 109 being a bit low. However they are a better playing side at Home rather than on the road. As such the home ground advantage must be worth 2 or 3 goals I would think.

Sheesh another wet home game coming up.
At the start of the season it was all warm 30 degree days and for the last couple of months it has been wet and windy.
Somewhere in between would be nice weather wise!

Great effort to win by 85 points in tough conditions but I fear that due to Peels win today, our finals hope are looking increasingly gloomy. Peel are now looking a threat to the teams in the top 4. Unless Swans can beat East Fremantle next week, Peel will have pretty much an unassailable advantage as they have a percentage booster against the Eagles in the 2nd last round and they may not even need to beat Swans in round 20 to qualify.. The Sharks may be our main hope to piggy back and thats what makes next weeks game a virtual elimination final for Swans.

Mikeh, who is to say SF aren't there for the piggy back too.....sets up an interesting last 3 weeks of footy.....should be a cracker next week between EF and SD. If SD win their next 3, I for one will have no complaints about SD piggy backing EF to play finals....beating WP and Peel will be a fantastic effort by SD if they can. It's a pity SF fell short v Peel.. but to be expected sadly

Well that was yet another home game this season where the weather was ordinary to say the least.
WCER kicked the 1st goal of the game within the first few minutes as Swans took time to adapt to the conditions and then fairly much dominated there after although poor kicking for goal with the cross breeze didnt help our cause.
Was good to see we selected young ruckman Morris to play this game, he acquitted himself well against Bailey Williams from WCE and I cant help think we should have played him against CL a fortnight ago to battle against their 2 big rucks of Eastland & Gowdie instead of pinch hitting with Noble and Hilton who are both barely 190cm.
Not much more you can say about this one as WCER probably fielded only a handful of afl listed guys, but for SD we take a desperately needed win and the 4 points.

Agree BH. Despite the team having a good season, I still shake the head occasionally.

Difficult to take much from the weekend's game due to the opposition, but Spackman's return has pleasing while D. Jones showed promise in the crumbing forward role. However, the news that all AFL clubs have spoken to E. Hewitt was received with mixed feelings.

I think Morris in the ruck is better for the team's function in the middle, but I cannot see him playing when Ireland, Noble and Germs return.
