Online today from about 10am. Will be in hard copy tomorrow I guess. Go Swans
Victorians still laugh at West Aussies because of the way we bailed out the vfl and then allowed it to be called it the AFL!

Would be nice to know the situation with Lewis Jetta. He may be finding it hard to get himself motivated for WAFL footy after over a decade playing in front of large crowds at the highest level. Fair enough, but if Lewis cannot make the adjustment and be totally committed to playing for Swans, it may be better for him to have a game with the Ammos and to give a younger player an opportunity at league level. Having said that I would really like Lewis to play a role this season if he wants to, because at his best he adds a touch of class to the team which may possibly be the difference between Swans finishing in the top 5 or not

Looks like the same team selected for this week as the one that beat Peel two weeks ago. interestingly Lewis Jetta has been named on the interchange bench in the reserves. They are making him earn his spot back in the team. Hopefully he can.
West Perth look pretty solid. They have Kietel and a few others back and will be tough to beat.

should be a cracking game - lean towards Swans because it's at Basso but anything could happen really

Not sure Basso holds any fear to WP mate, they win there with regularity.

Was surprised to hear during the week that the last ten matches between these 2 clubs played over at Bassendean been advantageous to West Perth. With Swan Districts winning 4 and The Falcons victorious 6 times. Obviously West Perth not troubled by travelling across to Bassendean. Apparently WP favoured to win again today as they are $1.75 for the win and Swans were sitting on over 2 dollars. This match is HUGE for both clubs as we enter the second half of the season.

Well done to West Perth.
Superb foot skills hitting targets all day
Hand passing to moving targets to get out of trouble or switch play.
Nice open fwd line and midfield.
West Perth playing the width of the ground. Then passing back into the corridor. When Swans had stopped there attack.Threw our mids+defence out of position.
Swans the opposite today.Passes falling short or wide or over head.Handpassing to stationary targets. And forever running of line and back into congestion.
Been a great 2021 so far.But it's fair to say where a long way off the top 4 sides atm.
Corey Gault and Tony Notte both look like there not moving freely. And a smaller running defender needs to be added..We didn't win the ball in defense at ground level.

GTRXUONE summed it up perfectly. One team that wanted the ball so much more, was well organised, moved the ball quickly and had many options up forward versus a rabble whose skills let them down under pressure. Same shit, different year.
West Perth dominated this game and looked every bit a top 3 contender. Apart from Jesse Turner and a few others Swans had a lot of passengers who seemed out of their depth. I'm sure even the WP players would have been surprised at how easy and bruise free their afternoon was
It was actually quite embarrassing to watch that especially after the Swans presidents cringeworthy and disrespectful comments about West Perth.  I would suggest that he might want to start bragging about Swans when the team has actually achieved something on field, where in contrast West Perth have managed to remain a competitive force despite their financial problems.
As was plainly obvious for everyone to see today there is still a massive gap between Swans and the better teams in the competition

What made it all worse was it followed the decision of the board to reappoint the coach during the week.
We play Subi and then claremont and still to play south and with sides below us improving our 2nd of the year will be tough yet the board thought we were going great.
West Perth showed us how a well coached and fit side plays footy, we are a mile off
