A massive test coming up yet again this week against the perennial Top 4 side WP at Basso.
They ran over the top of us in the last qtr and a half up at Joondalup a month or so back (as they did Rd1 last year at Basso) and that was with Keitel, Manzone & Shannon missing so expect them to be supremely confident of doing the same again this week with all of those players back.
For Swans will Jetta be back from his calf injury? We also have to find a replacement for Spackman down back who kept the dangerous Knott goalless last time.
SD once again have a chance against one of the established WAFL Top 4 sides...we have invariably come up short against this sort of opponent in the last 6 years or so will be interesting to see if the status quo continues on Saturday?

Yep...a big game this one BH. Win it and you'll have a 2 game buffer in the top 5...lose and you're back with the rest. I'll watch the results come through with some interest as a resurgent SD playing finals can only be good for the comp....good luck.

Toughest 3 weeks of the season coming up with this weeks game and two away fixtures against Subiaco and Claremont, so we will know how much Swans have improved by the end of this period and where we stand in the pecking order.
This week at home is our best opportunity and if we can beat West Perth it will mean that at worst we will be 6 - 5 after round 11 which puts us in a strong position to challenge for the top 5.
West Perth have a potent forward line so our defence will be tested but I am confident that they can stand up to the pressure as long as we can at least break even in the midfield against the likes of Black, Manzone, Nelson etc.
Souths defeat yesterday also opens up an opportunity for the likes of Swans and West Perth to move up the ladder a bit so the stakes will be high.

Clearly game of the round, well matched teams and maybe the home ground advantage will hopefully get you over the line.

This match is telecast on FRS I believe. Will be great to tune in, as this being one of the pivotal games of the season. Swans could leapfrog into third position on the league ladder, and The Falcons trying to secure their third Away win.
The other match of Perth hosting East Fremantle at Lathlain is also of high importance in the season context.
 

Anyone know the go with Jetta? From the late no show at Peel to playing ammos with his brothers last week - He would have to be doubtful wouldnt he?

If you lot have the following that you so regularly brag about then this should be an opportunity to fill Bogandean with the biggest crowd of the year. Two teams fighting for a place in the five, no AFL games in competition, no tv coverage to reduce active numbers, a fine day forecast..this should be a sell out and if not, then questions should be asked of your club and the WAFC on why it wasn't marketed a lot more. It will also throw into doubt claims by some on here that you're widely supported which has never been supported by attendance numbers in recent times.
