It was good to get away from Mandurah with the 4 points but we were a touch lucky as we didnt play well (Peelmantle structured up well) and Peelmantle didnt kick straight at all.
But having said that there have been many games in the recent past where the exact opposite has happened to us so will take the 4 points and move on to our big test against WP at Basso in a fortnight.
The last few times we have played WP they have overran us with ease in the last qtr.

Not ideal having to have a player play 8 qtrs of footy over the day especially with the Reserves having played at 9am (with a WAFLW game played before the League) so with Jetta a late out Bright had to back up and did a reasonable job I thought as we need to find a replacement for Spackman down back with him out for the rest of the year.
The Ressies came from behind to get a win whilst the Colts played probably close to their best footy of the season so far especially with all of the psa boys missing and many other youngsters getting opportunities to show their wares.
Do you have any information as to why Jetta was a late out?

I could tell you in person if you occasionally attended a game 42!

Swans have a chance to erase the painful memories of Joondalup a month or so ago when we coughed up a 5 goal lead in the last quarter and a half. It will be tougher this time though because they will have Keitel who was suspended for the last game and Swans won't have Spackman who did such a good job on Knott in round 6.
This game v West Perth takes on extra significance to Swans if you take into account that the two fixtures immediately after this are against Subiaco and Claremont, both away from home.

You will end up around 8-10, something like that. There is no amazing story emerging here. You’ve recruited well, got an early roll but it’s not going to last or go anywhere. 2022, 2023 type thing.

No worries STT thanks for your learned input from that 1 time you have seen SD play this year but unlike you lot at Eagle Park we know where we are at at SD and dont honestly think we are a Premiership side yet unlike you & the Demons (blind) faithful but imho you are going to find it hard to win a flag from 5th at best with the Top 4 already set imho- SU, CL, SF & WP!

Actually maybe we should also start banging on about our unproductive zone on the forum like a madman too!

The top 5 is probably a very fair order and reward over the season thus far
but any side in the top 6 or 7 could take the flag depending on injury absences and in Cockburn/Mandurah's case AFL inclusions of course
