Got back into town, went onto Kayo to check the cricket and we had 20 wickets fall today.  WTF?  Didn’t seem to be anything wrong with the wicket.
2x25= Seinor and Michael = 1xBrian Peake

the deck had a fair bit of bounce and it strangely gave sideways movement given the baking heat we've had - the curator obviously watered it quite well and that may have explained the swing early
but 20 wickets here in a day is unusual for sure mate
we had some poor batting however as well that will require big rectification over the next two days at least

Gee we havent fired a shot with the bat all Summer long in all 3 formats.
It might be time to move one or 2 batsmen on to greener pastures!

geez that's a rotten performance
9 for 62 after barely making 100 in the first innings
I've been concerned about one or two for a while but this match confirms they are not first class standard yet
and may not ever be with their poor techniques

Southy, with 30 wickets having fallen for just 310 in four sessions of play, you'd suggest this WACA wicket is a proverbial minefield.
Who knows what will happen when SA bats after lunch, seeking just 63 runs for victory.
Stranger things have happened (but not many) ...

I remember that game very well, gtrxuone.
I purchased a copy of Ian Brayshaw's The Miracle Match about that very game.
However, like most of my sports books, finding time to read it is a problem, so it's here gathering dust.

Absolutely disgraceful performance by WA to be rolled outright by SA just after lunch on the 2nd day.
The WA batsmen should be standing in front of a mirror having a long, hard look at themselves after being rissoled twice in 4 sessions including in 1 session in the 2nd innings this morning.
Yes the pitch had a bit in it but no way was that a 66 run wicket.
A few have been picked on potential and given an extended go but have so far delivered peanuts (Wyllie)  in their first class career when all said and done.
We can bang on about having players out but SA were missing their 4 best players as well (Carey, Head, McSweeney & Johnson) so no excuses there.
I said it before but there is something not right about WA's performances across the 3 formats this year, a touch of complacency perhaps?!

Wyllie is not a first class cricketer mate - that is now proven
Critchell there's another doubtful but will get more time
there's a Fremantle young bat that needs a chance over these two
but with the entire slide across all comps in the space of 1 year the coach & selectors need to be looked at and fast
can't stay up forever but the drastic fall is too startling to ignore
