Could be a low scoring encounter this one...both sides aren't spoilt for goal kickers are they.....

Hopefully the Swan Districts leadership allow George a little website time to articulate his considered views - may be just the rev up we need, certainly worked last time.

Gee Tassone has done well to keep his spot. Team stability is a good thing but their must be few guys in the ressies knocking on the door who can offer more.

I like Tassone and think he has been very good in the games I've seen. I can't think of anyone in the Reserves who deserves a go ahead of him- who you thinking Ti Em?

Tassone I feel looks a bit languid and lacking urgency. I would not necessarily say they deserve a spot - more deserve to be considered, but obvious cases for league inclusion are Adamini, Burton and Robinson. Tom Marshall is another I have time for. Cody Smith kicked 5 goals last week and possibly could be considered on that. Nic Watson and Jack Perham though very different types of players could be considered. Davidson who is in the squad has worked very hard as did James Harold for his inclusion.

Was the game as dire as the scoreboard read fellas?.... Nice to win, despite how dire the standard was, actually get a clean sweep of wins.....been a while since that has happened, things must be dire down Steel Blue way......always good to see a debutant play, no doubt Murphy will get better as he plays more league footy.....what was the deal with Kommer being a last minute out......good to see a few guys in the reserves knocking on the door for league selection.....the colts broke their 9 match losing streak, funny enough it coinciding with all EF u/18 boys back.....it's tough being an EF at times.....seems tougher being a SD fan tho....

It was a pretty ugly game but glad we got the win. Not sure why Kommer was out. I thought Jansen was excellent. Tassone and Baskerville were also good. Murphy was lively up forward without finding it a heap. Skills were very bad by both teams- Manning missed a soda from 15m out- no pressure. Our skills were just a little better than there’s. I went back to the after game: Jansen, Griffin and Baskerville got the awards. Only saw half of Ressies but Adamini was good.

The best thing EF did was get Monaghan. It may have been lucky in that they wanted Valentine but the new Football Department (Coach, Assistants, Football Manager) have made tough decisions straight away and back in those that are there. They still have a way to go but there’s a sense of optimism amongst us supporters.
