True but you took on Boekhurst, Jansen, Snadden, Kommer and Loersch all from AFL lists this year and now Strnadica and potentially Grey..maybe EF should cop the same crap as Subi.

BC ....1 year of recruiting v Subi decade plus of recruiting mate ain't worthy a comparison...... yet......perhaps in 10 years maybe......good to see EF finally take a little from the AFL, after decades of giving the AFL many a player.....heard Papaone to SD and Marsh not yet a given to return.......time will tell

I seriously doubt the club is now flush with cash, just good business. It's unsure what they are doing for the players outside their playing contracts- employment opportunities ect. Strnadica, Jansen, Grey and Snadden are no transfer fee- so it's only the others that have cost the club. Palmer was a swap for Boekhorst.

KCEF...my comments were more tongue-in-cheek than anything given the flogging my club has received from various sources including on here for bringing delisted AFL guys on board. I sincerely hope EF makes big advances next year and from what I've seen so far, you appear to be on the right track with Monaghan taking over and some quality recruits....good for you guys I say.

i believe our payroll a year before that was very light hence the recruiting
harry marsh is still a chance as well

Another good newsletter confirming the ins. Looks promising for a climb up the ladder next year...but then so did it last year!!

Biggest ins have been off the field. New Football Manager and an excellent coach, Bill Monaghan.
Bill will get the best out of this group. Doddy knows the issues within from previous time here and knows the type of players needed. It says it all through the newsletter. Competitors that work hard. WP never had an overly talented team- but were always around the mark

Still no word on Harry Marsh....no doubt one of the big clubs have shoulder tapped the fella....some have have been far toooooo quiet on the recruiting front so far for my liking....

Also well credentialed development coach Cavallo has taken over EF development program....comes with a great CV

It's on the West site that Harry Marsh isn't going to EF. Going to Subiaco or SF.

So missed one there. Disappointing- be interesting to know the clubs position (Did they try and get him?) and Harry's reasoning (Did his brother have an impact on the decision?)

I'm not sure Subi need him to be honest with Lockyer, Litherland, Aaron Heal, Greg Clark all tall defenders. I also read somewhere that WCE were considering picking him up in the preseason supplementary draft...so it could all be for nothing.
