This decision is no doubt a vote of confidence in the younger brigade who worked their backsides throughout the pre season or not? You really can't blame young footballers from thinking their future is limited as far as playing league football is concerned at East Freo and them seriously considering options at another club albeit city or country. They may snag a win against a weakened Perth but at least Perth have the guts to persevere and give the kids confidence in order to build a formidable team for the future. Without doubt certain senior players call the shots at Moss St and are untouchable! Oh for club to return to its glory days!

By my count Wiley has selected 5 debutants so far this season with possibly two more this week as well as the return of Cam Symonds. It would appear to me that there are plenty of opportunities for youngsters at the Sharks. Also experienced players such as Perham and Stephen have played Reserves this season.

We gotta a few boys with what you like to call "X factor" Freezin. Let's hope the X isn't abbreviation for eXit as the season rolls on. ;)

Bit harsh on Eardley. McNamara is Captain and one of our best but has had a long run with injuries. Peake looks like he's gone one year too many though ball movement inside 50 has been deplorable. On paper, EF look too strong for Perth- but the game isn't won on paper

Part of the current problem with EF FF2, is that the young guys that have had a taste over the last 3 seasons and should've been taking the next steps have left. I'm talking Jacob Green, Fraser Perry, Jake Solomon, Barry Barone ect...means you have to start again with guys like Tom Marshall, Holmes and other Colts kids that are just learning what is required

Footyfan ive got a question. We drop young guys like Stokes Dion harold, schleicher after being belted by Peel and a strong claremont. At what stage do the leaders take some responsibility.
X afl player Chricton no tackles for the whole game, no impact and never looks like getting dropped and he isnt the only one.
He cant stand up as a highly experienced player and lead the way yet we expect the young guys to do it.
When they start getting that right mayby we will see dome improvement.

Probably should have thrown that question to Custy plus 1. The faithful will probably tell you he is a tagger so stats don't matter even with a duck egg tackle count. Probably hasn't been to successful at stopping anyone with 2 touch up results this season. Maybe this could be the week.

Don't think too many on here rate Crichton observer...perhaps Wiley is the "faithful" you refer too?

Youngsters leave all clubs don't they?...SD have lost a few this year....Some of those names mention like Schleicher and Stokes have been very unlucky...surely EF should play 2 Ruckman...and leave Watson to play as a forward...and do what he was recruited for...to kick goals..trust that with BOB back the forward entries will be more efficient
