another home game v Cl this weekend....CL are fresh off a surprising loss to SD on Sat, so will be very keen to get back in the winners circle. EF will be keen to keep their momentum going under Wiley, hopefully Macnamara will be back, be interesting to see who has to give way.

Cl have some good talls in Maister and Cameron up front, who on their day can stretch majority of opposition defences, though kicking straight does help. EF in all three games have had over 25 scoring shots on goal, inaccuracy v Peel cost us the the game, whilst cost EF an even better percentage booster v WP.

From all reports EF seem to have a healthy list, nice change from last year where the reserves struggled with options due to injury most weeks. The last two weeks Cl have faded badly in the final stanza thus giving up 8 points, touch wood things come in threes and they repeat this 4 quarter fade out v EF on the weekend. Saying that, I would love to see EF bury this game well before the 4th quarter.

All across the ground the side looks settled and pleasing to have a variety of options up front. Winton down back gives the defence some height, though Chartres is yet to play league to date.....injured or left? through the middle Henson, Eardley and LA have been racking up the stats, whilst up back Lester-Smith seems to have found a niche along side Mr dependables in Messers BOB, Stephen, Read and Jupp......Stokes and Bristow will come up against Andrews for Cl, an under rated footballer my opinion.

Be nice to put one over Cl, especially after a preseason comment made by one of their players apparently to DW from memory, saying EF were dead cert to finish last. The reserves seem to be putting pressure on the league boys which is great to see, long may it continue.....whilst the colts have found some dynamite in small forward Blurton up front.....be good to have 2 key forwards in Zurhaar and Strnadica back but Cl have their 3 big guns back also, which in all honesty is probably why they lost their last two games v SD and Perth. Be a good test for the colts this weekend to see where they sit in the scheme of things.....be nice to go 3- 0 again, but Cl are a good footy club with lots of depth......

Really looking forward to this one. Another real test to see how we are progressing. Win this and it's another of many boxes that need to be ticked. Hopefully I can get to this one.

19.2 is incredible kicking.....tad better then 11.11 sadly..kudos to Cl on their midas touch....good kicking is good footy.

...can anyone give us a breakdown on how Watson is faring?....4 goals so far....is he getting poor delivery, double teamed or just not as good a forward we all would of hoped...apparently he was used at Carlton more in defence....early days tho.....good to see Brandon Ellis kick a few in the reserves win......

Difficult when he is the only genuine tall forward up front at the moment. Bristow has been up there but imo is a far better off running around the ground on ball. Easy for opposition defences to shut down one tall option such as Watson. A second tall forward will obviously help free Watson up. I suppose when you look at the facts Peake and today Hampson have done the scoreboard damage for Easts.

looks like a perfect opportunity for Ellis to play in the derby then Observer.....good to see Hampson run into some goal kicking form......gonna need it v SF next week....SF look pretty hot at present gonna be a tough ask to curb their forwards and mids....EF will go into this match definitely under dogs that is for sure.

Yes the Bullies are in hot form giving Perth a nice old touch up today. I suppose there will be some debate around the selection table this week on a big derby clash.

From 10 goals 17 last week to 19 goals 2 today!! Now that is boiled lollies to chocolates in 6 days. They couldn't hit a barn door last week. If one player gets the yips it seems to spread like a disease in the team. They obviously made it a focus at training during the week.

Most accurate kicking for goal ever 90.48% (with 15 or more scoring shots)

Here's the best
