always a big ask to beat SD at home....no matter the form of either team at the time....definitely SD seem to be travelling the better out of the two sides at present, very much like last year when EF got hammered pretty easily from memory.....though later in the year EF were able to return the favour x 2. Not too sure if Hampson or BOB will be back from injury, more so the former than the latter, but pretty sure Hampson will be pretty rusty.
Jupp out is a blow for EF defence, I know Cary kicked 5 on him in the 1st semi last year, Jupp is definitely on the improve and turning in to a reliable and dependable defender, I guess Chartres may go onto Cary then. Chartres has been pretty steady for EF so far this year.....who goes to Geappen will be interesting, with no Dodd or Howlett in the side now....Geappen always loves playing EF, big ask who ever gets the job on Geappen. Height wise would Young be needed up back?.....I guess it would allow Fletcher to assist Bristow in the ruck, especially since SD ruck at present is pretty inexperienced. I see bristow kicked 3 behinds last week, hopefully he has his kicking boots on this week, 3 goals will be more than handy from the resting ruckman.....saying that SD defence is probably the best in the business.....Ames, Simpson, Notte etc are all quality acts who will probably enjoy playing on EF disjointed forward set up, made harder with haphazard inside 50 entries!!
Is Perham on his last chance?....1.6 this year is pretty poor return for a key forward.....seems to be getting the footy, anyone enlighten me on his role in the forward line so far.....really gonna be reliant on 2 goals here and there from the likes of Dalziell, Anthony etc.....which honestly isn't gonna kick a winning score v SD defence....have picked EF to win.....more so out of hope rather than belief TBH.
Reserves hopefully can find some form as SD reserves appear to be quite young and finding wins hard to come by of late.....kicking goals appears to be a problem in EF reserves side as well of late......think most sides will whip Peels reserves as they are sretched big time due to the Freo alignment.....hopefully youngsters in Barone, Franklin and Fletcher can keep playing some good footy and pushing for a league debut soon. Where has Cripps been playing?....really thought he would be used as a key forward, 8 handpasses in the last game suggests other wise.....
Colts had a bit of a reality check last week v CL.....SD youngsters are just as good, so it will be a good test for the team this weekend.....hopefully Snadden is back for Acadamy duties......I guess the side just needs to keep working hard, they seem to have some quality there in the likes of Perry,Bennett, Harrold, Parish, Delaney and tall boys in Strnadica and Cronan......SD will be another good test and hopefully the colts can bounce back from last weeks defeat v Cl.
Could easily go 0 - 3 this weekend......but then again could sweep it 3 - 0 too.....a lot of factors will have to fall EF way in the league, SD defence is tough and they seem have to a bit more zip through the midfield and variety up front.....touch wood EF can keep their inside 50 entries simple and direct, the mids will need to be on form, the defence stay tight and some farking how the forwards kick farken straighter.....last time this side kicked straight was in the last quarter of the 1st semi......9 goals something from memory
