well here we are.... first weekend of the WAFL season for 2015....some good games on offer round 1.....especially with Peel having the bye!! ;)

Be interested to see who Malaxos puts out v EP.....I guess with a few WCE injuries, WCE v Freo on Sunday, Lee awaiting the Essendon verdict and Smith injured probably as good a time to play EP as any......just going from the scratch match reports EF may give debuts to Schleicher (mid), Fletcher(ruck) and Regan(mid)......with Hampson playing his first game in an EF jumper.....

Hampson will obviously be needed up front to work along side the likes of Perham, Lester-Smith and Ellis for kicking EF goals.....no doubt mids like Anthony and Dalziell will be relied upon for a few goals too......up back with no Howlett or Dodd this year it will be interesting to see how EF structure their defence.....need youngsters in Jupp, Read and Dorotich to stand tall for EF to be competitive in 2015.

from a development side perspective a lot of new faces on EF list.....be nice to see Reggie Jones get amongst the goals and put his hand up for a league berth, from the sounds of things appears talented.....former colts in Barone, Morton-Smith, Cripps, Strnadica and Williamson can develop and push for league honours.....and 2nd tier guys in Anthony, Cuneo, Hooker, Edwards, Williamson, Coulthard etc along with newbies in scott, Humble, Singh, Piggot, Locantro and Carters can put pressure at the selection table each week.....who is coaching the reserves this year?

The colts have looked good in their games so far......lot's of potential state boys this year in Parish, Perry, Snadden, Bennett, Cronan, Harrold and Strnadica along side others like Bonomelli, Menagola, Milligan-Armstrong, Meade and Delaney......be interested to see how well they go after playing a very young side in 2014......

Good luck to all three grades on Sat......always nice to do a clean sweep to start the season ;)

Freezin I think sometimes you need some young kids in to inject some real enthusiasm eg:Swans .
All these young guys had a real crack on the weekend. I had a look at his stats from last year, Schliecher has been kicking the door down for 12 months.
Cant wait for the season to start.
Good luck to whoever runs out Sat night.
Go Sharks.

Free entry for members is good... Should make swallowing the $6 hot dogs a little easier!

I know that all East Fremantle members (regardless of whether their 2015 membership includes ground entry) have free entry on presentation of their membership card, given that it is their home game.

I'm with you plus1 on the above......be great to see Fletcher get a run over Bristow and Schleicher too, the kid is well overdue a league game......Young and Hampson to definitely come back from missing the Perth scratchie.....would love to see the likes of Snadden and Bennett score games at some stage over the year, both kids are more than capable of contributing at the league level

J Bristow out with ribs. Stokes will ruck with Youngy. Fletcher will play ressies. Great to see Regan & Schliecher playing league.

Wouldn't it be nice to beat EP first up!!!

Only 9 players from last year's Grand Final side listed in East Perth's squad.

I think the Sharks would start warm favourites
