The press has meant that a lot of forward entries mean the forwards are back leading into space so this has seen the impact of leg speed just as important as height in contested marking situations. Peake, Schofield and Eardley had scoreboard impact as did Lestersmith later in the season. Howson has had no influence at East for a couple of seasons so no big deal. Young forwards in Ellis who is more closer to 194 or 95 and Cripps at 197 will no doubt get an opportunity to support Young, Bristow and Perham. Lestersmith, Hampson and possibly a young indigenous player recruited from the Perth zone will and plenty. As mentioned Schofield, Eardley and now Anthony will continue to have an impact forward. Think we will be ok.
very true observer the game has changed, Hampson is a fantastic like for like to replace Peake in the forward line this year.....just be nice for EF to have a tall target permanently up front instead of resting rucks and fella's bordering tall like Lester-Smith and Perham.........gotta have faith in the youngsters like Ellis and Cripps though Howson has obvious ability, just heard he is needing surgery, so obviously an out.....EF will rely on their mids again to have impact on the scoreboard.....good to see another Dhurrkay down at the club, his predecessor was a very talented footballer and likeable guy from memory, good to see Perth do the right thing and allow the kid to come to EF
