yeah true about EF having limited tall forwards...basically because SF have desperately jumped on every tall recruit that comes on the market in the past few years.....Sellar, Gillespie, Saunders, Mills, Pullman, Loersch in the last 2 - 3 years.....anyone I've missed? ....I guess EF will just have to have faith in their local youngsters like Howson, Cripps, Perham, Lester-Smith and Ellis to step up and show fill the breach......good to have Hampson to help fast track their progress eh?

Howson no longer there since about xmas, i heard bourne gone as well. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

Will be looked upon as an option up front by new SF coach Curls, to help ex Cl gun forward Benny Saunders kick some winning totals for SF,if ex SD tall forward Pullman, ex Qld tall foward Mills or ex AFL gun recruit from the Melbourne footy club Jimbo Sellars have back to back dud seasons for SF in 2015....

Football has changed and so have game plans. The press has meant that a lot of forward entries mean the forwards are back leading into space so this has seen the impact of leg speed just as important as height in contested marking situations. Peake, Schofield and Eardley had scoreboard impact as did Lestersmith later in the season. Howson has had no influence at East for a couple of seasons so no big deal. Young forwards in Ellis who is more closer to 194 or 95 and Cripps at 197 will no doubt get an opportunity to support Young, Bristow and Perham. Lestersmith, Hampson and possibly a young indigenous player recruited from the Perth zone will and plenty. As mentioned Schofield, Eardley and now Anthony will continue to have an impact forward. Think we will be ok.
