another good write up by Malaxos on the EFFC site, been impressed the club has stepped up and kept EF fans up to date with some pre season news.....something they failed to do in the past.....

so far EF have lost Dodd, Peake and Hancock from their 2014 team.....Anthony returns who easily replaces Hancock in spades...a midfield of ROB, McGough,MacNamara Anthony, Dalziell and Kerr(?) whilst lacking in genuine speed, has bucket loads of ball winning ability and experience.....mid tier boys in Boyle, Schofield, Henson, Eardley, Schleicher, Bristow and Green provide depth, whilst colts boys in Snadden and Bennett could provide that zip and exuberance if given a chance alas SD style last year

.....from a forward perspective Peake will be missed, but Lester-smith hopefully can recapture his 2013 form and replace Peake's retirement.....Perham is a steady target, not a big key forward like Boland, Smith or Maister but kicks his 25 - 30 a year.....need Howson to stay healthy as he has the potential to be a genuine goal kicking target for EF at 197cm.....might do a Ricky Cary and sneak under the radar.....will rely on the resting mids for goals again....Brandon Ellis showed some signs too last year and at 193cm is there and there abouts for a KP up front...plus Jack Cripps at 197cm from u/18 state team should debut.....surprised he didn't get rookied at least.....but a bonus for EF.....nil obvious small forward of note....not too sure if Richey Bourne is still around but he showed potential on debut with 4 goals v Cl.....though seems to be Kyanga like at times......Williamson was handy at times....

defence wise Dodd's loss is big.....able to play tall and small.....will rely heavily on the experience of BOB, Howlett, Bayliss and Stephen up back for experience and youngsters in Read, Jupp, Dorotich and Peel youngster in Pigott for some "height" up back... Hooker and Franklin should keep developing when called upon.....won't surprise me in the slightest if Young goes back especially against a quality tall opposition player....

ruck wise EF have Young, Bristow and youngsters in Fletcher, Singh and Solomon.....

no doubt injuries will dictate development and who plays/not plays......obviously Hampson would be a bonus, heard from a mate whose son is training down at EF that Hampson is keen, but nothing as such, no doubt money related......reckon if recruited would play more forward than midfield.......

freez...that midfield has to be close to the best going around this year. get Hampson as a goal kicking forward/mid as well then you guys will be in for a big year.

leg speed is the worry here BC......Simpson would of been handy if he stayed down in the city.....but yeah all those guys have reputations for getting plenty of the footy...

other young defenders who may get a debut this year are Cuneo and Morton-Smith.....both are decent sizes too.

Does anybody know who EF appointed (if they have) as an Assistant League Coach they advertised for and which Assistant is being replaced ? Is it Gavin Brown who is no longer there ?

Subiaco is the only ground with lights bright enough for tv coverage. The lights at East Fremantle aren't even bright enough to play a non televised game of football.

So no AFL on that week and the WAFL will have a live game on tv Saturday night prime time. Great start of the year for the comp. The amount of people watching the corresponding televised game in the SANFL last year was more than 10 times the average ratings for a WAFL game last year. If EF don't want that exposure Subi will take it.

Yeh, just what we need a game televised in front of hardly any people to showcase the comp.

Can see EF "giving it away" to Subi anyway ...... so it won't matter where it's played will it

did the host sanfl team play at their home venue or aami?
exposure? what for our sponsors? signage around the ground?
ratings for a day game would of been great...sure not as good as a night fixture I admit but a few thousand at atom stadium would of been a better spectacle on tv than a empty domain stadium
