Councils too often infiltrated with fringe nutters. Terrible what has happened at Shark Park and nearly as bad @ Lathlain with the Vic Park council sitting on their hands.

Federal government funding for Perths Stand about to be pulled due to time limit on offer.

An offer that's been on the table for around 6 years.

All held up due to one or two ridiculous requests for such as ensuring access for the scouts to use the sandwich maker on any given Wednesday night in October.

Agree Mike. Let's hope the religious nuts don't get stuck into the Demons and a Brad Pettitt influenced Freo council want Souths to change to the poodles as a snarling bulldog isn't a good look.

Playing devil's advocate here, has this story been beaten up?
EFFC will be sharing this facility with other clubs and maybe the council doesn't want any of their logos on it?

And if they went back to Old Easts it might trigger the pensioners and republicans could be offended by the Royals and I'm scared of Thunder as well as birds of prey

I think you're right. Chinese whispers can distort information as people put their own spin on it (oops! Maybe I should have just said whispers!)

Oh, everyone should have fun with it - the EF council deserve as much negative press as possible.

That Federal govt funding would be lucky to have half the value it did 6 years ago. Whole things a joke. The TOVP lord mayor would be watching how this EF Oval fiasco is being played out and feeling inspired.

Luckily we still have facilities that don't have to be torn down until the new one is built next to the old (current) one.

This whole logo thing isn't true...

I'm not defending the poxy council but i was mentioned by a member of the council as a tongue in check comment. It was never brought to vote. The thing about the mining companies was true but knocked on the head by the state government.
