And now they have to change their name and avoid mining sponsors ? Surely this is a wind up? Or have we awoken in a parallel universe?

EFFC appear to be running on empty, nearly half a million in debt and only about the same amount of assets with hardly any cash.
Can you tell what assets they have that would amount to $500K, it used to be their change rooms, what now!
We live in a time where intelligent people are being silenced so stupid people won't be offended

Grump Assets around the $470k mark, around $350k of that is cash at the bank, the balance would be what fixtures and fittings contents they have, maybe a vehicle or two around the $100k mark most likely insured value only. Basically SFA.

Debt is currently 400 Plus about 450 or so, but that does not include this years loses.

Story is, I assume,  that sharks is triggering for locals near the river, and sponsors must not contribute to green house gas emissions. ESG? Is that the acronym?

I get it, I was just wondering as to the origin of the story - is it just a rumour or have the council really told the club something along these lines.

*** to be entirely fair & respectful to any concerned it is wise to allow EFFC management to make statement before making any assumptions or assertions - they alone will provide fact and allay fiction and rightly so.

If EFFC to decide to persue alignment with WCE , they may be forced to change name & will not be allowed to gain sponsorships with any other mining company besides Mineral Resources (who sponsor WCE and Lathlain Park + conflict of interest)
WCE have previously stated that there will be no more short term alignments any future arrangements will be permanent - this came from Nisbett a couple of years ago and that stance has not changed , EFFC will be acutely aware of this.

If (and I do strenuously state IF) EF Town council has got any inkling of any intention to align - then I daresay any agreement over the use of EF Oval will be in serious jeopardy and you can understand their reasoning on that.

Lastly - there are too many rumours going around but scarce fact and until EFFC make clarity it's all bullshit & bluster

**** apologies to EF moderator - but this needed clarifying out of respects and also for other clubs getting named in it

additionally SFFC have assets worth estimated between $3.5M and $5M with the holdings on Fremantle Oval - this will only increase as the development progresses

Another week, another EF drama - its been a crazy season that ended on the field in disappointment. The team and coaching staff were really up against it and its an achievement finals were even made. Dodd is out the door, which is extremely disappointing - hard to know if always on the cards or fed up from 91.3 interview. Hopefully Bill isn't off with him. Talk of player exits and retirements but nothing coming through yet. Now the council don't want the Shark logo on the building - you can't make this up. Swirling in the background is the mounting debt and financial position of the club overall. The club certainly can't make money now with no games until next year.

EF has been front and square all season with the ground dramas - hopefully its all sort out soon and we can go back to focusing on what happens on the field
