Shark Tragic

Gorringe is on student exchange. Pretty weird that he played if he knew he was going to go over seas

Or more likely, he had these conversations with the club some time ago and they were more than happy for him to play until he left.

Despite being Cl home ground, I think Revo was the better choice of the  grounds available for EF to choose from.

Good record at Revo this year, and from memory, where EF beat Cl in round 2 this year by 90 odd points. EF have been hit n  miss at Freo and Leedy ovals this year. If good enough EF will win, simple as that.

Two good sides who deserve their finals spots. EF finish the comp on the highest % overall, and like the top 3 with atleast 12 wins for the year. EF are hitting the finals in decent form, with very healthy list, despite 2  premiership players in Bailey and Gorringe out for the year, and another 2 in RMcGuire and English back via the reserves this weekend.

wonder why the 'footy operations team' did not opt to use freo oval given it has a a few times during the season
it couldnt of been cos of the dockers womans team cos they play next weekend nor to give the oval time to be in better shape as cam britt(ceo sffc) said on radio that if sth freo finished in the finals & were to host a final they would of been playing at freo oval

Don't think it would of mattered where EF played their "home" final yesterday. If you are good enough you will win anywhere anytime. Cl simply too good on the day and EF simply not good enough.....well done Cl.

Yesterday's result simply reflected EF season overall....more miss than hit. 1.7 in the first quarter, followed by Cl kicking 5.0, to establish a match winning lead, never to be surrendered.

Always a tough ask to go back to back at the best of times, let alone having no home ground, multiple training venues, often not known till last minute. Hopefully a bit more certainty can be obtained in 2025, as the new oval does look asthetically on the money... ..heard on the grapevine a few decent recruits on EF radar......though who knows what money EF even has to recruit....if any.

Best of luck to the remaining 4 teams in the league.....anyone's flag to win, been a great season.
