Well done to EF for doing what they needed to do, in winning their last 3 games before the bye, to keep themselves in the mix for a top 5 spot. Sounds like the Derby will be an 8 pointer for both sides, and reassuring to see Jupp, Boekhorst, and Joyce will be pushing for selection after the bye.....not sure the status on Schoenfeld, O'Reilly or McDonald, but hopefully those 3 will be available for EF run home to the finals....some huge games coming up v SF, SD and EP, before the WCER finale for EF. Going to be some interesting conversations on selection night, if majority these boys are available to play. Probably not a bad time to have a bye, to freshen up a few tired bodies as the season reaches it's final stages. If SD, Peel and EP win this weekend they will be safe, leaving 3 teams battling it out for 2 spots......some big games in the pipeline

Cam Eardley. Friggin champion.  4 goals 5.  If he straightens up he could be handy as a forward.

Enjoyed watching the East Fremantle training session at the prison ground yesterday afternoon. Heard a whisper that is was league derby win number 200.

Cam played as a FF in colts before being drafted by Geelong.
Great hands and does play tall.

Eardley moving up front definitely a shrewd move by Bill and the coaching team. Another important 4 points in the bag, and the side is building some decent momentum. Nice spread of goalkickers today.....10 in total.

Another big game next week v EP, all to play for and TBH another finals like scenario. Joyce, English, Bailey, Tassone, McDonald, Gorringe, RMcGuire and Schoenfeld all will be pushing hard for a top 22 return.....with RMcGuire & Bailey, the only ones most likely gone for the season due to injury.

5 wins in a row for the blue and whites travelling here there and everywhere. Couldn't be arsed with the 100 kilometres round trip to watch this live but did catch some of the stream. Impressive game from Blakiston who just keeps getting better. Also impressive was the spread of goalkickers. O'Reilly finding form at the right time and Leggett back from a one match ban bags 4. Plenty of other options floating around forward line too. The Bull has 28 goals for the season so far whilst Hagan has 30.  Eardley to the forward line suits aging legs -  why didn't we think of it sooner?

Great to see Blaine back and playing well too. Plenty of run through the middle of the ground for the Sharks and some excellent tackling pressure from Buddha, Baskers and Harry. Hagan and Monty deserve a mention for their forward pressure too. Clearly belief is strong within the group and at the top they are very well coached. Just have to keep winning though - would hate to do a Brasil 1982.

So Gorringe is out for the season, personal reasons.....disappointing for the young lad, but I guess that enables one out of Rankin or Dunscombe to fill that back pocket spot....or perhaps Meade gets a late crack....Meade is thought of very highly by the club.

Weird one with Gorringe. Last week the WAFL injury hub had him as personal leave but the listed team in the paper Saturday had him with a groin injury. Either way, he’s not available.

Noticed Joyce icing his calf after the ressies last week. Hopefully just precautionary.

A very wet wet day of footy at Lake Leedy. EF blew a great chance to stay in the hunt for 2nd spot....and a bit of de je vu with that EP loss.....3 pts the margin.

Kudos to the Royals on the win, fully deserved, especially with some quality players missing and one  going down early.

Hopefully for EF fans,  it's not a case of de je vu v WCER next week at MRP......lose that,  and EF can be leap frogged by Cl and SF for a top 5 spot. Though if EF do lose to WCER, they don't deserve to play finals in all honesty.

Going to be some nervous around the grounds watching next week by a few sets of fans.
