Gee this is a big game for both sides.....5/4 or 4/5 at the half way mark for EF. Huge opportunity  missed v SF in the derby....Can't afford another slow start that is for sure.

WP are always a hard nut to crack, as EP found out on Mon. They will be desperate for the win same as EF, especially with Cl and  WCER hot on their tails.

Wet weather expected on Sun, so goals will be at a premium......something EF struggled to find on Mon.....Time for Hagan to find a few, been very quiet of late....hopefully Zadow kicks straighter and JMarsh can hold a few more of his marks....time will tell.

Spot on Freeze about the importance to both sides.I think it’s a fair comment to make that your squad is more advanced than ours with us having quite a few inexperienced guys who are really putting in but just lack that ability and experience to put the finishing touches to a game. You have blooded a few also but that hard core of last year’s premiership players is still there- just suffering a bit of post premiership blues maybe.Should be a great game with the elements maybe being a factor in the result.Another learning curve for us but you never know- any side apart from the top 3 that strings together a 4 or 5 game winning streak will find themselves almost guaranteed a finals spot.Could be either of our teams on Sunday.

Boekhorst and Zadow both out....not sure why, hopefully managing Boekhorst and not an injury. West out for WP, which will be a loss. Not sure who will make the cut for EF, but I guess if the weather is wet, McDonald may keep his spot, and McGuire's speed might help.

Great to see Max Murphy back, really rate the lad from Gero,  just been unlucky with injury after injury. Hopefully Murphy makes the cut. Surely one out of O'Reilly and Bailey will play to help chop out in the ruck.

Rather this match was at Revo Stadium than Freo Oval, as EF are 2/0 at the former and 0/2 at the latter so far this year.

Maybe he has been dropped, just kidding. Managed to kick a goal in the last minutes of Mondays match so probably not injured.

Not sure what was said at half time or if Bill subbed the whole team out at half time, and shipped in a new team.....but it worked. Game of two halves is a well worn footy cliche, but none more so  apparent than today.

Huge 4 points for EF, hopefully the team will gain some self belief from that 2nd half turn around today, and kick on v Subi next week.

Yes definitely a tale of two halves. Great last quarter from the blue and whites. In the wet just get it forward and they did and it paid dividends.

Maybe Freeze your 74 premiership coach was watching from above and was none too impressed and gave Bill some advice and a few choice words, something about extracting the digit. Great comeback in those conditions against West Choke.
Get on your bike.
It was Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve.

A lot was made of Teakle leaving and the need for reinforcements- but Blakiston was outstanding today. He looks the real deal

I agree KC - Blakiston was fantastic I also thought he was close to our best last week!
I thought Leggett was crucial in the second half along with Marsh particularly in the last.
Eardley was close to bog with his ball use in the conditions a feature,he was ably supported by Cleaver whose attacking dash was a telling factor complete opposite from the derby.
Ben McGuires 3 goals from 7 possesions also a major contribution. (staggered he was dropped last week)

A brilliant & much needed win, and  a 65 point turnaround from half time in those conditions is simply outstanding.Hopefully onwards & upwards from here after a very disappointing effort in the derby.
