The 4 pt margin flattered EF. WCER deserving winners.....not sure the go with JMarsh....but definitely missed his presence up forward. No excuses from me though, just goes to show any side can win in this comp if on song. 

MSS83 looks like you need to go into hiding mate....with bye next week, EF will need to do a lot of soul searching.....massive game v SD after the bye.....both sides falling short by 1 kick. 

Wow, what a result for the rest of the comp

Wow. Didn't see that coming. A promising sign for Eagles all round. Good to see some Subi boys, Ryan, Sheed and Dewar do some damage against the Sharks. Perhaps the season isn't done and dusted yet. 

Firstly, well done WC. Deserved the win and should of won by more.

For us, nothing I can say, expect woeful display of basic football skills that let us down consistently. We got murdered in the middle and Dom Sheed Killed us. Liam Ryan played most of the match and killed us as well! It just goes to show what a difference a couple of AFL listed players can make to a team. 

Our forwards missed easy marks and sat back and watched as WC took the ball out of our forward line. As Freeze said, while J. Marsh may not always kick a bag, he provides a contest which we sorely lacked down forward. Skill around the ground were just terrible and I have to say, we are miles from contesting for the flag on that effort. Jupp was outplayed by Ruscoe and he was giving away a bit of height too as well. He appeared to get injured in the 3rd quarter as well and certainly didn't look fully fit after that. we got monstered around the contest and seem slow and flat footed.
Turnovers killed as well. The times we butchered the ball, you would think it was teeming with rain!!


I know there's a long way to go, but Jesus, they have 2 weeks to stew on that performance. That was a Sunday morning of my life I can never get back!!  

Not sure Marsh named in the team. Obviously out through injury.

Marshy tweaked a hammy Friday. He'll be right for SD game.
Jupp rolled an ankle in the 3rd and wasn't 100% after that.
Our skills were deplorable to say the least!!! and from some of our better skilled players.
Hate to say it but WC were the better team and deserved the win.
Talk about chocolate to boiled lollies.
Need to regroup and get back on track after that performance.

On the bright side. We should see Boekhorst, Eardley, Walker, Gorringe, Montauban & maybe O'Reilly back after the bye.
Harry Marsh could be back earlier than the 10 weeks stated as well.

Whilst the skill execution by the players was very poor, I reckon the coaching team missed a trick replacing Meade for Marsh. Meade  is an excellent defender, but one only has to look at the week before, where the Strom boys(both 198 cm) kicked 9 goals between them. 

Surely Blakiston comes in, rucks against young Barnett and use Teakle at FF. Or play Cripps( 199cm) at FF. WCER didn't look to have much height up back, thus an area JMarsh would of exploited if fit, and certainly the coaching team should of exploited.

There isn't one. Plan B is plan A Mark Stewart said on SportFM I think a couple of weeks ago.
