I wonder how many more clubs will have to transgress before the WAFC decides that maybe the system needs looking at rather than punishing clubs for errors.

I don't think we should be deducting premiership points from teams unless the circumstances are extreme and from what we know about Souths and Easts transgressions I don't think either justified a loss of points. Sure fine them for mistakes but I think the competition was compromised when SF started on -8 last year. Gave them no hope really and it makes the competition look a bit Amateurish when you look at the premiership table. There were really only 6 teams in the running for 5 spots by the half way mark of last season and I'm sure that the bulldogs would have been far more competitive had they not had the millstone of a 2 game penalty around their necks

SS, I reckon you have hit the nail on the proverbial head with SF and their indiscretion. Sounded no worse on paper compared to EF indiscretion, yet EF get the lighter penalty? Nup, more to that pregnancy than meets the eye, unfortunately Dogman.
 

What a joke, half the penalty.

Obviously overcooked it v SF and wanted to step back a bit, EFFC were found to have "multiple breaches" , good old EF still pulling ruling class connections.

Spot on, the season was basically cooked, and now another one will be compromised, I would say they felt the two match thing was to heavy and have reigned it in., still as you say it has never been done before, fines are enough for this crap, but overall the whole system is a debacle, some clubs have been doing it for years and never touched.

 

What is it with these SF fans and their woe is us posts.....the only thing cooked here are SF pea sized hearts....which surprises me, considering SF fans see their club the only working class WAFL club located in Freo.

We're the only club in Freo. You're in Palmyra, or next to a bowling club or something aren't you??

Would of thought you would be on the Peel thread, welcoming your new recruit for 2024 - Oscar McDonald....

Not a like for like for Hamling sadly. Still not sure how McDonald will impact Peel's TPP and player points, but I have no doubt the WAFC will do their best to accommodate Peel and keep them a viable outfit in the WAFL for 2024.

Ahh gotta love it when BD gets on here and bags other clubs for salary cap and other breaches when his own Johnny come lately club has done so on 3 occassions.
