Lucky last H&A fixture of the season for both clubs....all to play for, with EF with their noses in front for that coveted top spot- minor premiership. Last time EF has seen such a position was....yes, you guessed it ....1998.

Both clubs have done well this year.....probably more so Subi, considering not many folk thought they would even make the five. EF keep progressing under Monaghan, despite injuries, the team seem to find ways and individuals to get the job done.

Murdock, JMarsh, Lawler and Montuaban are available apparently, with Cleaver and Lester-Smith also knocking on the selection door. I guess big Ed and Burton being last minute inclusions v Perth, will make way for Murdock and JMarsh.....not sure how the rest get in though.

O'Reilly remains TBC with the hammy he didnt ping apparently, just tighten, not sure his status, but securing top spot with a win and an extra weeks rest, may see the tall FF return...maybe...at some point.

Subi aren't that intimidating force they have been in the past, but they have some exciting players in Schofield, Kentfield, Mayo etc and with big Clarke running the show through the middle, Subi have played some fantastic footy this season.

Should be a cracking contest, with probably Subi the keener of the sides to win, more so out of the fact, if they lose and EP and Peel win, Subi could find themselves playing Cl in the elimination final.....saying that, if EF get spanked, they could be to!!!

And from what has been said, this match being covered by the SportFM commentary team. With the forecasted good weather around the various grounds, should be a good afternoon of footy.

Very sad to hear about Ocker DG, absolute legend of WA footy and the game in general. Condolences to the Robertson and Subiaco Footy Club family.

Freeze I had EF as my flag tip pre-season after they made great gains in '22, but was hoping at best that Subi might make the 5.
Well we are in 2nd and it will be tough to stay there in such an even comp. Everything will have to go Subi's way to get over EF without thinking of a 6 or 7 goal win to snatch top spot. EF have a more even spread of experienced players and the Marsh Brothers could prove the difference. We will need to make the most of Clarkes expected ruck dominance and hit the scoreboard more efficiently that we have in the last 2 games. Too hard to pick, but maybe the home ground advantage will see us fall over the line, fingers crossed.

If Subi play like they did in the first half last week, it could show EF as clear best with daylight second. Hoping I’m wrong and the boys get up for Ocker. Didn’t he give Sokol some goal kicking advice? A close link to the current team.

Should be a ripping game and I’m sure these 2 will meet again at some point. EF have been up for a long time and I think this is the game they’ll drop. Clarke was negated a little last time by the muddy WACA and I expect him to dominated McGuire and Dixon, giving the Subi Mids first opportunity. Interesting that Murdock didn’t come straight back in- would’ve thought that’s a monty.

Big game- high stakes- looking forward to it

Congrats to all down at EF for securing the minor premiership.....job only half done, but great effort by Buffalo and his boys. Floodgates opened up in the last, EF seem to find ways and personnel to kick winning scores.....not sure I want JMarsh or O'Reilly back in EF forward line TBH....though on paper both would definitely strengthen that EF side for the finals.

Unlucky for Subi losing Schofield so early, came back to bite as fatigue set in. Didn't realise Schoenfeld was a goalkicker.....going to be some tough calls in a fortnight selection wise....

Congrats to the Colts as well, finished off the H&A season with wins over Perth, Cl and Subi...Mainwaring has done a great job with the squad this year....

Not just the minor premiership secured nice to win the Rodriguez for the first time in forever. Subi a man short I hear but doesn't explain the complete capitulation. We kick straight and it was a 100 points or more.
